Would it be too much to have everyone just keep calling him Judas to get under his skin?
That isn't a fair comparison.
Judas got paid 30 silver pieces which was probally tyrian sheckels which would be around 355.32 dollars in todays money. Pence gets paid more in a single hours worth of speaking fees. From a fincial point of view Pence got a lot more then 30 chunks of silver.
At the end of the day Pence is just a lot better with money then Judas ever was.

Mind you, Judas probably needed that money far more than Pence does; as I doubt the former had anything approaching the latter's net worth.
And Judas actually felt regret over his actions. And if you believe certain sources...it was all part of the plan.

Eh, more buying power than that, though. Jesus parables make it pretty clear a silver piece was a day's wages for a worker, such as his parable of the vineyard workers. So Judas' payout in terms of money in those days would be about a month's wage for a working stiff.

Update on the AOC's Abuela situation, "Somebody" has called them and told them their money will not be accepted, so the cash is going back to the donors.
The Media is also spinning giving money to the poor as a personal attack on AOC. And I can't say that's entirely wrong, it certainly made her look bad, but AOC kinda clowned herself in this situation by claiming she'd allowed her Grandma's house to fall into ruin for years in order to get a single dig at Trump in.
