Plot Bunny Farm

New here, would like to write something when I get a bit of free time. Had a couple plot bunnies that could probably use some work.

First idea would be for Warcraft, inspired by Halt's The King is Dead. After the Lich King's defeat and death and the hands of the Heroes of Azeroth, Arthas Menethil reawakens, alive and ensouled once again, in his body at the start of Warcraft III. Arthas, horrified by his future self's actions, at first resolves to rigidly follow Uther's advice, lest he stray onto the path to damnation. But at Stratholme it all falls apart, and what had initially been a minor issue begins rapidly spiraling out of control. In order to save their people, Arthas and Jaina will have to face not only orcs, undead, and their demonic masters, but also the decadence and weakness that has spread throughout the Kingdoms of the Alliance and a sinister conspiracy festering inside them.

Second idea is for Worm, and might be hard to pull off not to mention a bit controversial, but basically, SI into Max Anders at the start of Worm canon. The SI wouldn't know when in the timeline he is until Lung's capture, and unfortunately, our SI can't just duck and run with some money and Medhall shares. He knows that by this point, Coil has his and most of the Empire's secret identities, and running away before Coil pulls that trigger is going to mean almost a quarter of the Brockton Bay cape population come gunning for his head. This thrusts the SI into a life-or-death struggle for control of Brockton Bay, upon the backdrop of the impending disaster that is the rest of Worm canon.

I recall that MedHall's assets were frozen after that revelation. But I wouldn't put it past the original having secret caches of money elsewhere.

The Gesellschaft may only be willing to help if he helps them in their plans and I recall Purity talking about how the Gesellschaft were likely to actually make things way worse if they entered the USA and might have helped the Slaughterhouse Nine

That said, if the SI were a good man, he would stop this gang stuff and surrender to the PRT and Protectorate.

The E88 are actual neonazi shitstain morons who like an even bigger moron called Hitler, and are no more "civilised" than the ABB, definitely even have the same human trafficking operations and probably having their own version of "The Farm" somewhere, as much as Purity tried defending them. The only gang they're even relatively better than in-terms of behaviour are the Merchants.

Yes. Part of the scenario I think is interesting would be the SI trying to wargame around when Coil drops the bomb. Do you take everything you can get out of Medhall ASAP, even if that might draw unwanted attention earlier on? Assume that Coil's going to do it when he did in canon, even if you change things? And of course, you have to factor in that this is the sort of thing Coil's definitely going to use his power for. If you take everything out of Medhall, and he does a trial run, he's going to know that you know what he has...

Also, yes, part of the issue with writing the story is that, well, it's harder to say "this is the character, not me" when the genre is literally called "self insert." On that note, while I don't think writing this story would inherently be a violation of ToS and wouldn't have mentioned it if I did, but if any moderator thinks it would be, please let me know. If I write this story, the Insert would consider turning himself in, but wouldn't for a couple reasons. One, obviously, it wouldn't be much of a story if he did. In universe he would probably justify it through the lens of him not actually being guilty of Kaiser's past crimes, and the fact that him turning himself in wouldn't actually end the E88.

As a side note, I don't think there's canon evidence that the E88 actually engaged in human trafficking, and I think if they did then Purity would have mentioned it among her problems with the E88's drug trafficking, theft, and extortion. If you've got WOG or source material that confirms they did, let me know.

Fair, I honestly think Hookwolf or "Brad" would try and take it over after he surrenders himself whilst everybody else in his inner circle and out freaks out

It's more or less something I think would be automatic, I mean isn't that stuff which pretty much every single organised crime ring does? Even Accord was into Human Trafficking and sold Cody off to the Yangban and hired Blasto who makes his own drugs

Plus, I recall Aisha nearly being raped by E88 mooks but triggering with her power to avoid them, if they do rape, then they all probably also do human trafficking and pimping

I admit I'm far from an expert, but I think a lot of things "pretty much every single organized crime ring does" in media are more often something that many organized crime rings do, but many others don't, if for no other reason than that they lack a supplier, a buyer, a way to store and transport, or knowledge of the market. For instance, while selling any given drug might be thought of as something any crime ring does, most crime rings are probably limited to a single drug or a small selection of drugs.

Accord can sell a parahuman who falls into his power to the Yangban, for instance, but if say the Merchants had a parahuman captive they wanted to get rid of, they probably don't even know what the Yangban is. Another example I guess is that the Empire runs a dogfighting ring, but unless there's canon or WOG otherwise, I'm not going to assume the ABB or Merchants ran one.

I didn't remember anything about how Aisha triggered, but I looked into it and at least as far as I found, she is menaced by a bunch of thugs who insinuate that they're going to sexually assault her, but it's not indicated what, if any gang or group they belong to.

Fair, that makes me think where the drugs come from though, specifically the material. Either they're using lab chemicals or they're secretly growing lots of plants or have some connections with Drug Cartels in Central & South America.

Given that Number Man does the finances of multiple villains, I wouldn't be surprised if he gives those connections, though I think the Merchants would be too stoned or untreatable to have a working relationship with Number Man

Fair, just an assumption

Going to try writing this, if anyone's interested in beta'ing?

Shortly after the conclusion of the Fourth Ninja War...

Naruto: "Oh man! Thanks Granny Tsunade! Stuff from my parents?!"

Tsunade: "Well, you're strong enough now you can defend yourself from anyone who might be after you for them. Dig in!"

Naruto: "Huh... This scroll's got some fancy seals on it. What is it?"

Tsunade: Eye widen "... Oh shit."

Naruto: "... Granny... What is it?"

Tsunade: "Ummm... Oh hey! I've got that thing! Somewhere else! That I need to-!"

Naruto: "GRANNY!"

Tsunade: Deep Sigh "Okay... It's a betrothal contract."

Naruto: "A what?"

Tsunade: "A betrothal contract. Basically it's to arrange marriages between people before they're old enough."

Naruto: "Wait, I'm betrothed?! To who?! When?!" Glares "You know something about this, don't you?!"

Tsunade: "Um, well... It's actually a funny story... Well funny stories. Well the ones I can remember are funny-"

Naruto: Opens the scroll, his eyes widen "... WHAT THE HELL?! How am I betrothed to Hinata?!"

Tsunade: "Well you see..."

Flashback, several years ago at the Hyuuga Estate

Tsunade: "Come on Minato! Roll the dice, roll the dice!"

Minato: "Tsunade, I'm already deep in debt!"

Tsunade: "You'll win this time! I'm sure of it!"

Hiashi: "Well Minato? What have you to put up?"

Minato: "Well... A marriage contract to our baby who is due to be born soon-"

Hiashi: "Done! Roll the dice!"

Tsunade: "COME ON LUCKY 7!"

SNAKE EYES!

Hiashi: Smirks "Looks like I win... All according to keikaku."

Minato: Groan "TSUNADE!"

Tsunade: "It was a sure thing! You clearly threw me off!"

Back in the present...

Naruto: "Okay... Well... I love Hinata so that's not a big deal-Wait, there's another name on this list-ANKO-NEE-CHAN?!"

Tsunade: "Well you see-"

FLASHBACK NO JUTSU!

Tsunade: "Come on, come on! Orochimaru's always sucked at cards! You can take him!"

Minato: sigh "Fine... Orochimaru!"

Orochimaru: "I call!"

Minato: "Read 'em and weep! Straight flush!"

Orochimaru: "Hm! Not bad... But nothing compared to a ROYAL FLUSH!"

Minato: "GAH!"

Orochimaru: "So... Either you hand over the Hokageship, or you hand over the marriage contract for my apprentice Anko-chan. What's it gonna be?"

In the present

Naruto: "AGAIN?!"

Tsunade: "I SWEAR HE CHEATED!"

Naruto: "Well of COURSE he cheated! He's a freaking ninja-Okay, WHAT?! How the holy fuck am I engaged to Mei Terumi?! How did you even meet her?!"

Tsunade: "Well, Minato and I got REALLY drunk and ran off before Shizune could catch us and we met some Mist genin and we started a game of poker-"

Naruto: "FUCKING SERIOUSLY?! HOW MANY TIMES DID SHIT LIKE THIS HAPPEN?!"

He keeps unrolling the scroll, his eyes getting wider and a vein at the side of his forehead now throbbing.

Tsunade: "Come on! So you're engaged to three... Four... Five... Maybeee twelve girls... I kind of lost track. It's not all bad!"

Naruto: Foaming at the mouth "TWELVE?!"

Tsunade: "It's a lucky number?"

Not the first time he got engaged by parental figures. Anyone remember that filler where Jiraiya robbed a village full of kunoichi which lead to him pawning off a marriage to one of his future students? I guess Naruto can try to call these bethrotals off, and that's where the fun happens. Like, Hinata is obviously going to win, but Mei Terumi is going to be pissed at the mere suggestion. Consider that he is also probably THE elegible bachelor right now.

Something I've had in mind for a while is the following scene; Nanoha visiting her family on Earth with Vivio in tow, right when the Snap happens. (Yes, this would be a crossover between the MCU and MGLN.) As a result, Nanoha gets to see her mother, father, sister, brother, and daughter turn to dust right in front of her. I don't know why that popped into my mind...

That would have Nanoha go on a roaring rampaging of revenge and the TSAB follows suit, because, that sort of shit is unacceptable.

So, you have enough firepower to annihilate entire solar systems converging towards Thanatos with one mission: kill him, find a way to reverse The Snap, and then annihilate the Gauntlet and the stones.

That said Thanos probably had every other race in the galaxy willing to kill him no matter the cost so the TSAB forces would be just a drop in the ocean of fleets in the middle of a roaring rampage of revenge.

Not really, given what sort of shit the TSAB had to deal with over the centuries (various Precursor Artifacts that showed up, several of which kicked off the plot of the series!)...

During the late 1800s Ra's al Ghul learned that a few of Gotham's founding families had discovered a Lazarus Pit underneath Gotham City. He immediately got in contact with them and offered an alliance between his League of Assassins and the old money and captains of Industry of Gotham. This alliance was cemented by a secret society formed by the Gotham elite which they named The Court of Owls.

Working with Ra's al Ghul, the Court of Owls learned many secrets of the Lazarus Pit, and still more with science. They built Wonder City underneath Gotham itself to serve as a Bioshock-like utopia they would inhabit. But Ra's plans to (inevitably) destroy the Court and seize power for himself (along with destroying the Western world) were discovered. The Court and League of Assassins fought in secret in Gotham, with Ra's ultimately being defeated. The League of Assassins maintained control over a small part of Wonder City as a stronghold for the next century with the rest in the claws of the Court of Owls.

While the Court of Owls had started out of noble intentions, the power of the Lazarus Pit corrupted them. Many great families of Gotham drifted from the central Court, like the Waynes, Kanes and Cobblepotts. Unlike Ra's, however, the Court of Owls were content to rule from the shadows and dispatch anyone who got too close to the truth with their Talon assassins: Trained assassins killed and reborn via the Lazarus Pit, and made into undead regenerators.

The Court was fine with Batman dealing with Ra's because every loss of Ra's was a win to them. They even tried to bring the Waynes back into the Court. But their hubris led to them trying to take out Batman and his family when Batman got too close to the truth. Which ended badly for them.

Thoughts?
