@bintananth sidenote : when I was planning to go Manaus , my mother's cousin told me explicitely to ask girls her age because of how often girls don't tell or lie.
When I was single during college I was often on the other side of that: women can often look much younger than they actually are.

When I was 22 having a drink at a bar a 39-year-old woman started flirting with me. I asked for ID because she looked like she was twelve. Turned out she was a school teacher and the bartender was her brother.

Also depends on circumstances if I recall. What does happen if you didn't know or worst she lies ?

If you can prove you didn't really know, you will get acquitted(it has happened before). But that's a pretty big if.

Caetano Veloso perde ação contra Feliciano por acusação de pedofilia | Radar so well this is very LATE BUT GLAD news. The judge said it was freedom of speech for the guy calling the singer a pedo.

I think I remember about this one. As far as I can tell, this is the only time Veloso lost such a suit(at least that I remember) - and the fact that Feliciano, as well as being an Evangelical pastor, is a member of the Brazilian House of Representatives, may have influenced the final result.

We should be keeping the brats in 24/7 boarding schools
Frankly I think school should focus on beating some common sense into them

That's just going to make the youth of today even more brazenly immature than they already are.

People shouldn't be raised in schools. They should be raised at home by their family and a community of uncles and elders, where they have role models and have people they can rely on. Instead, it seems like most parents don't want to actually parent their kids, so they chuck them into a prison daycare that drives them insane, where they are raised by other clueless kids who were also abandoned by their parents. The youth of today spend 15+ years in the school system, from kindergarten to college, where they are left to their own devices and have never experienced any form of responsibility. That's how you get the manchildren generation of today.
