News of the Amused

Yeah, someone used a racial slur on it back when the Klan was active on campus. The horror. Meanwhile it was actually named for the campus's first president. This honestly just comes off as a game to see what they can make people do.

Huh.
Almost like we have been saying, give them an inch and they will take the road out from under you.

Marksmanship, while not the least important skill for a soldier, has a much lower priority than things like being able to go on a forced march or dragging a comrade around while they are about as useful as mobile as a sack of potatoes.
And if a woman proves capable of those things, you get to be the one who has to tell her to her face that you're going to dictate what she is and is not allowed to do with her life. Good luck getting out of that without at least a fractured skull.

Planefag is wrong here. A man is supposed to be the head of the household, and women are not supposed to be in combat positions like police officers.
Umm, police officer is less of a combat position than being HQ staff or a cook in a military during war. Vast majority of what police officers do (at least normal ones, we're not talking fulltime SWAT) is not combat, though in places like Chicago there is more of a threat of it than in sane places.
In said other work, women statistically have some useful qualities, like being less threatening and being allowed to search female suspects on the spot. From my experience sane police departments also tend to pair up female cops with male ones who have some chance of compensating for their lack of physical strength in case someone is resisting arrest, though i guess in the less sane ones that would be too unPC to do.

Working for a living does nothing but make women miserable.

This is not true. Any more than the Feminists are right about women being exactly the same as men.

Men and women, on average, are substantially different from each other. But there are outliers in either gender that have interests and abilities well outside of the 'norm' or 'average.' Acknowledging that such people exist, but also not trying to use them as the new standard for gender norms, is important.

When you make absolute statements like that, it tends to help the feminist position.

All of this said, if a woman applying for a job that has physical demanding elements, especially those with lives directly on the line (soldier, police officer, firefighter, etc), then they had damn well be ready and willing to meet the same physical requirements the men are expected to.

And as a final element, I'll agree that there are a lot of women out there, who've swallowed the feminist claptrap, who are miserable in the jobs or careers they've ended up in. I've known some women who narrowly avoided that. Just because there are some though, doesn't mean that all with careers are like that though.
