I'd assume that the Israeli govt is quite free to block access to X for it's own citizens, if there's content on there that will hurt their feelings.
But no country should be allowed to impose censorship on the rest of the world. Because then next thing Communist China will be demanding that no internet forum anywhere be allowed to have content critical of their regime, there are already Islamic groups wanting to ban all mention or discussion of the Holocaust, etc etc.
Otherwise things might end up with no internationally-accessible internet forums or social media platforms at all. Each country would have its own, which was inaccessible to anyone from outside of its borders.
Every people in their own little bubble.
I think Israel is less concerned about feeling of own citizens, and more about the propagandizing of global audiences which can have foreign policy consequences.
Did you sleep through the last 2 decades of China's internet policy? China can't potentially start demanding such things in the future, because it in fact is demanding that since ages, and since many didn't follow, it just made a national scale firewall that blocks everyone who doesn't play ball.
Many of the greedier companies have to make a gutted version of their service for China, like Google.

I believe you've read this wrong. First, Herzog barely has any power, as a president in a parliamentary country. He has less hard power than ministers.
Instead, Elon knows he's being wrongly attacked for antisemetism, and wants to attack the ADL. To do this, he needs some shielding, and meeting with the president of Israel is one more thing he'll point to when called antisemetic.
Basically, this is Elon trying to expand his power, not him bowing to another country.

My issue with antisemitism isn't that I think a nation or culture (scratch that culture) isn't beyond criticism (every culture and nation has it's bad stereotypes and those that fit them.) But something about antisemitism in particular seems to lead people into an abyss of madness from the white Aryan race to flat earth to reptilians. like it doesn't seem to matter whether you dip your toe into the waters of antisemitism or take a full plunge eventually you drown in the depths of madness so it's hard not to raise an eyebrow when people start talking about "dem Jews" in that way.
