MSM realizes that they are losing against common people ans want the government to rein in the internet so they can regain their former status.

Oh, so that is why they are called columnists... they are fifth columnists.
So much of the fourth estate has been fifth columnists for so long I sincerely think many of them legitimately can't tell. There's a reason Trump can openly call a vital component of a functioning republic the 'Enemy of the People' and get away with it. Its because he's right. For fuck's sake, the biggest honor a journalist can get is the Pulitzer Prize, named for the man that brought Yellow Journalism to the US. Journalism has been broken for a long time and only the American populace, not the government, can fix this. By burning the current, corrupt, mockery to the ground and salting the earth. I thank God for the internet because without the sudden surge in freedom of information it forced upon the world we would be literally incapable of knowing what these festering traitors do on a regular basis.

And in today's episode of "journalistic ethics" we have the Palmer Report openly telling people that the media has already decided the Tara Reade story is fake and therefore they shouldn't talk about it so that the story would die.

I'm only going to say this once to Biden fans: stop panicking about this "Tara Reade" nonsense. It's a fake story. It's obviously not going anywhere. Stop obsessing over it. Stop engaging the trolls about it. Stop messaging me about it. Stop giving it oxygen by talking about it.

The trolls and bots are spending all day, every day trying to bait you into talking about this fake story. They know they can't get anyone in the real world to talk about it. But if they can get YOU to talk about it, you'll be the one causing others to start asking about it.

Major media outlets have looked into this. They've already determined that it's an obviously fake story, and they want as little to do with it as possible. They give it occasional lip service, but it's not going to be a major narrative – unless you make it one.

When a story isn't regularly covered on TV news, it doesn't go anywhere. No one out among the general public ever hears about it. Stop making it worse by actively "defending" Biden from a scandal that no one in the real world is even going to hear about.

If you want Biden to win, stop wasting your time on irrelevant bullshit like this. Get out there and register people to vote. Volunteer for the campaign. Boost voter turnout. This election isn't being held on Twitter. The real world doesn't care what the bots are tweeting about.

Going forward I'll be unfollowing anyone I see tweeting about this particular fake scandal, no matter what side they're on. If you're out there "defending" Biden in this fake scandal, you're doing even more damage to Biden than the trolls who are promoting the fake scandal.
Imagine openly admitting that you're trying to bury a story.

In another case of "ethics" we have Mark De Stefano formerly a political and media correspondant for Buzzfeed and at the time a reporter for the Financial Times (not that he still is now) who got caught listening in on Zoom meetings from the Independant and the Evening Standard and tweeting about what was in said meetings.

The funniest part is how badly he did it:
The Independent claimed Zoom log files showed an account registered to Di Stefano’s FT.com email address joined the video call for Independent staff last week for 16 seconds.

The caller’s video was disabled, but some journalists apparently saw his name flash briefly on screen before he left the meeting.

Minutes later a separate account joined the call, this time unnamed, the Independent said. It claimed the caller remained in audio-only mode with a black square displayed to journalists on the video call.

The anonymous user account, which remained in the meeting until the end, was later shown to be linked to a mobile phone used by the same FT reporter.

World's best infiltrator ladies and gents. First he uses his official account and email address and flashes his name in the process then he uses the account linked to his main phone then he tweets the contents of the meeting in real time.

Has-been documentary filmmaker Michael Moore's latest film-an attack on the Green Energy movement for not being truly green-is no being declared dangerous by those it criticizes.
Climate experts call for 'dangerous' Michael Moore film to be taken down
The best line? When the someone says the film “trades in debunked fossil fuel industry talking points”
😂👌
Blue on blue guys, blue on blue! Sheesh...

What the hell? Okay, that's enough internet for today.

I think it's just safe to say that VICE is staffed by people trying to make as many articles as possible to reach some quota

If it's easy to hire "journalists" en masse, it's in a near-meritocracy where these guys can actually survive financially speaking even if they have to make stuff up or interview a hobo about how he likes his rat burgers

this is the polite stage man, noogies and screaming the knives don't really come out unless trump wins.

In my states case we are desperetely trying to pretend everythings fine until the boomers start retireing and we get fucked side ways.

No plans for the Hollywood Elite to escape to someplace else with their wealth and live out their days wondering what went wrong?

That said, yeah, I think pretending everything is fine for themselves is the default behavior, otherwise they have to acknowledge their losses which decades ago would have made a bunch of em start screaming

Ammoland just published the kind of article I expected to read on thethruthaboutguns...or Infowars.

Doesn't even highlight the importance of the second amendment in relation to what's being discussed, which he could very easily do. Just endless raving about the Neoliberal New World order. Comments were garbage too:
The writer makes valid points are americans ready to fight back at the polls and in there own homes. The young folks have been raised to accept the New World Order taught by liberal professor in schools everywhere. Families are divides in there own living rooms as the parents no longer have the tools to correct their own children.
Their children were told to report to there schools teachers counselors and even the police if Mom Or Dad took a position that disagreed with the new curriculum taught in schools. Now the left has alexa which is the all seeing hearing tool in homes today it can do everything and links to all devices. Now even the children are no longer safe from those that want total control of our lifes and they are not smart enough to understand socialism Which is no longer to be feared we are on the way to marxism.

Okay Boomer.

retired Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the former head of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, is planning to deploy technology originally developed to counter Islamic State propaganda in service of a domestic political goal... received initial funding for the technology from DARPA, the Pentagon's research arm, as part of an effort to combat extremism overseas
Pepperidge farm remembers when details like this would've horrified the dems.
