Before I started working from home I routinely wore a watch. But I've been working from home for more than 5 years no so I rarely remember to wear it even when I plan on being out for the day now. I have to say, it is more convenient to check a watch than dig out your phone when you are out and about, but I can see why it has gone out of fashion.
The left has always been quick to turn on its own. This strikes close to home with me because my daughter got called racist because she wouldn't go to prom with a black kid. By the way she (and my son) are 14 and not allowed to "date" yet. Also I'm black my husband is white but yet daughter is racist. We actually got called to the school because of this. The assistant principal had the nerve to say "What harm would it have done for her to day yes"
Wow, harassing a woman into going out with someone she doesn't like? How very... incel-like.
Schools and government officials need to understand that there are things called boundries.

A whole lot of harm. No one is under any obligation to say "yes" to anything they aren't comfortable doing and the implication that "no" is not allowed pretty much goes against the idea of being free to make your own decisions.
Did you tell him that, unlike him, you prefer to teach your daughter to stand up for herself and not be pressured into advancing relationships?
Honestly, I probably would have filed a complaint with the school board and wrote an editorial to the paper with the title "Assistant Principal calls my daughter racist because she turns down a date to the Prom" and then a scathing article in the local paper where you explain that your 14 year old daughter 1) isn't allowed to date, 2) that said daughter is half black and the product of an interracial marriage, and that 3) teenage girls have enough problems in highschool without authority figures trying to pressure them into dating individuals at the behest of said authority figures.

I'd go further. I and every one of my 16 siblings have a mixed-race spouse. My kids and all of my nieces and nephews have at least three ethnicities.
My youngest niece is part Basque and we know this because her dad is one of our distant cousins and has a surname so rare that "yup, you're related to him" applies to everyone who has it.
Oh he's been made WELL aware of that. He's also looking for a new job. We're a rather wealthy family with VERY good lawyers. We prefer to handle things like this privately. The faculty involved have been handled. The boy in question was never an issue my daughter can more than handle a potentially handsy boy. 10 yrs of martial arts and a level of self confidence that we struggle to keep from turning into arrogance says no means no.

My female relatives don't have that but my sisters, daughters, and nieces could, can, would, and will start saying "I'm bigger than you" to adults when they're about 12. They aren't joking because they hit 5'10-6'0" at about that age and have to start looking down when talking adult women when they're in 5th or 6th grade.
