That's only true if the needed reforms get maid if not and the elite keeps up the pressure you end up with a boiling pot with no release. And that does lead to civil war and a partial collapse.
No, it can also be true that the pot will simply never boil over, because the vast majority of the US populace just want the status quo or as close to it as they can get.
The idea that the elite must change course, or 'the pot will boil over', pre-supposes that the populace is actually angry at the elite class (not actually in evidence, even if places like this act like it is), instead of mostly at each other (for various reasons), and pre-supposes the elite have not factored in security issues and made preparations so that the people loyal to them get enough perks to shoot the plebs, instead of their masters.
The Fed Reserve will ensure the enforcers are always able to be paid, regardless of tax income or national debt, nukes ensure domestic rebellion is mostly just a farce of people wanting to LARP as Wolverines or George Washington and thinking they can just say 'no nukes' in a debate and that will be the end of it, and there will always be enough immigrant (legal and illegal) labor wanting to enter the US that demographic collapse of the 'traditional working class' won't collapse the economy the elite use to fund themselves.
I however don't think we're due for something like that this decade.
We aren't due for it ever, except possibly in the aftermath of a full on nuclear exchange, where the power of the US gov is broken and regional factions begin to cement themselves.
The revolution/reset so many on the right base the fantasies around isn't coming, and the populace is not amenable to the desires of accelerationists, no matter how many groomers are outed or how bad the elite get.
The sooner people on the Right stop living in fantasy land about the American electorate and current socioeconomic conditions, the sooner the Right will be able to unfuck itself and deal with the realities of the modern US electorate.
Anyone who tries to sell people on these sorts of accelerationist fantasies is either a fool or a grifter.
