Israeli-Hamas War News & Updates

The IDF Reports that they've killed 5300 terrorists/militants since the War began, including three division and fourteen battalion commanders, but it's a possible undercount since so many militants have likely been buried under the rubble.

Did Hamas break the ceasefire? They praised an attack by two "martyrs" who bravely drove up to a bus stop outside Jerusalem, shooting multiple civilians and killing three of them (including a pregnant woman and a 76 year old Rabbi) before armed citizens and police "martyred" them in turn. One of the armed civilians/off duty soldiers was apparently a victim of friendly fire as well.

She wasn't the only pregnant person that Islam demanded be killed for honor. An earlier honor killing of a young Palestinian woman who was pregnant was originally blamed on the Israelis on social media. It turned out the pregnant young Israeli Arab Muslim woman was actually stabbed to death in the streets in broad daylight by a male relative while taking her other kids to school.

The original ceasefire was to last for four days but has been extended to at least lasting six days, with the exchange yesterday of thirty Palestinian prisoners for further hostages held by Hamas, this last group including ten Israelis and four Thai nationals.

Thai Hostage Accounts state that the Israelis were held under stricter guard and even beaten with electrical cables. Nineteen Thais have been released with thirteen more reportedly in custody. At least thirty nine were reportedly killed during the Hamas Terrorist Attacks on October 7th.

Seventeen year old Mia Limberg and her doggo Bella were released after 52 days in captivity. She was apparently released along with her Aunt but two of her Uncles remain in captivity. Also interesting to note that Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hamas were escorting the teenager to the intermediaries.

Cease fire lasted longer than originally intended but it appears to be over now.

Israeli sources report that Hamas broke the cease fire by launching one or more tickets at Israel including the city of Sderot. Clashes have resumed all along the border and front lines including Israeli airstrike taking place in Southern Gaza.

Financial Times did an article interviewing senior Israeli officials postulating how long this conflict could last and the potential endgame scenarios for fighting. Overall the Israeli strategy is apparently flexible but still dedicated towards ending Hamas. They expect intense ground operations will continue into the New Year, followed by phases of lower military intensity that could last beyond 2024.

In regards to Gaza City they state they expect operations there are about 40% complete and will take upwards of a month longer there. They also reiterated similar estimations of Hamas militant casualties being around five thousand dead, ten of their twenty four battalions suffering serious losses, and at least fifty mid level Commanders killed but that the bulk of the remaining Hamas leadership, weapon stockpiles, manpower and hostages are likely relocated in Southern Gaza now.

Israel returned its negotiators from Qatar. Apparently one of the issues was that Hamas didn't want to implement a commitment to the return of all of the female hostages they currently have in captivity.

Two of the hostages released were Brothers Aisha and Bilal Khalifa who are of a Muslim Bedouin background. They will be reunited with their Sister though the families Father apparently remains in Hamas captivity.

The Australian Israeli Jewish Affairs Council Published an Article Regarding the Media's Silence on Hamas' many War Crimes and Violations of the Geneva Suggestions Going Unreported or Underreported.

Israeli Commission reports an aggregation of evidence that Hamas perpetrated sex crimes, rape and sexual abuse in their terrorist attacks that began on October 7th.

USS Carney, a Burke-class Destroyer, downed two more Houthi drones while responding to a distress call from another civilian ship in the area near Yemen. Apparently the Houthis also launched a ballistic missile at the civilian ship in question, the Bahamas-flagged M/V Unity Explorer, but it missed.

This might mean the USS Carney has intercepted over twenty drones, cruise and ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis since the start of the Hamas-Israel conflict and the Houthis decided to launch attacks on the behalf of Hamas.

What do you expected? Biden on white horse charging at enemy?
Deep state do not want war, which is actually good,so - they made him behave.

And where's the travel ban against members of Hamas?
Pretty sure that already exists for the US. Or more accurately, we'd love for them to travel to the US, because we'd arrest them immediately.

As for the settlers, this isn't all the settlers, just the ones who did violent things in the west bank. It's not really a strong move vs israel, honestly. More a standard "We don't let criminals in."

If they really want to come in, they can do the same thing everyone else does. Go to Mexico and pay a coyote.

The Tank vs Anti Tank concept got brought up on my feed using this video as a source

This some COD type shit, how did the infantry get even this close. Don't modern tanks have infrared?

Tunnels, distractions, ambush...Frankly, it's pretty easy to get close to a tank.

Tanks are vulnerable in the environment of Gaza. What probably killed the tank was a lack of allied infantry on the ground by it to prevent this kind of thing.

1. Tunnel clearly.
2. Suspicious lack of Israeli infantry near the tank. Which is not in line with the state of art of combined arms, but could be an experimental tactic running on the basis tha Hamas lacks good anti tank weapons anyway so they are willing to suffer some more damaged tanks instead of dead infantry.

Yeah that was from a while ago.

It likely didn't severely damage the tank.

There've been other Hamas videos showing them blowing up tanks allegedly with their tandem RPG-7 warheads they indigenously produce but from the way its edited, it looks just as likely that the Trophy Active Defense Systems blew up the incoming RPG rounds.
