Imperium of Man vs Yuuzhan Vong

And Vong had worlds still producing ships, and sending them faster then Nids ever could.
I am finding that somewhat debatable. Nids are so laughably high in number that they are visible from a stellar-level. The only things that the Imperium are aware of that are outside the galaxy is pissed off orkz, and nids. LOTS of nids.

Sufficient amounts of nids that a low-ball estimate suggested that the imperium would have to make it's war capabilities five times it's current level to stand a chance.

And given that the Imperium would curbstomp the Empire. Vong don't stand a chance in hell.

Vong had planets which still produced stuff, and quicker spaceships. They could gather force in one place, win, and send to other batte before nids come there.
Even if tere is 100 times more nids then Vong,as long as they could move their forces faster it not really matter.

Nids do have famously slow FTL compared to other 40k races, but that won't matter when the force disparity is just 'that' insanely lopsided. In a nutshell the fact that Starwars-verse beat the Vong indicates the nids can do so, given that they would nom nom Star Wars with trivial ease.

Although I'll stop debating about nids because this thread is IoM vs Vong.

IoM vs Vong - depend,if they could fall to Chaos ,or not.
If not,Vong win,if they become Chaos,notching change.

Vong have their own deities and religion and while Warhammer 40K Warp Divinity is weird, such faith should keep your typical Vong person safe from corruption if we want to keep things consistent. Having widespread chaos corruption vulnerability would just make this thread perfunctory as a result.

Problem
The Warp entities will often portray themselves as your God in order to get your worship.

The Vong will NOT be safe.

Well either they're mostly safe or mostly unsafe. If it's the latter then we know how the Versus match already ends. No discussion needed.

It really depends on if they're warp sensitive or not. If you want to equate the energy of the Force with Warp energy. Then they may not be susceptible to the Warp.

The Vong are finally in a setting where they actually appear to belong. Great fun was had by all.
They would "belong" in 40k the same way a random masochist belongs in the realm of the Cenobytes from Hellrazer.

Or the same way Nancy Drew would fit into a Hard-boiled Dashiell Hammett novel.

Or the way the characters of Muppet Treasure island would fit in with a modern Somali pirates gang.

I'm pretty sure the Vong fought mostly dudes with Tee Shirts and Blasters. The New Republic was as close to demilitarized for a galactic polity could be.

No the New Republic Troopers wore this sort of fully enclosed armor in the Extended Universe. The New Republic's problems weren't demilitarization but lolcompetence and standard scaling issues with Space Opera/SciFi settings.

Yeah no worries. I mean there aren't many massive ground battles in the New Jedi Order, it's mostly space stuff and ground adventures and skirmishes, plus I haven't read any of those novels in ages, but the New Republic of Legends/EU wasn't as flanderized as the one in Disney Canon in most cases. I just wish they had released more sourcebooks on the NJO era since that's the usual source of stats and tech and whatnot on these things. The Second Generation of Guides had some NJO stuff sprinkled in it but not much.

I would point out that we never actually saw any "proper" New Republic infantry in the Disney canon; the blue uniform dudes are shipboard security, inspired both in and out of character on the Alderaanian consular security officers in A New Hope.

Everybody in the setting has their own deities and religion, and they are not immune to corruption.

More interesting question would be how Vong psychic bullshit would interact with Warp.

Of all the WH4K factions, aren't they most similar to the Tyranids?

Vong were separate from the Force as mentioned earlier in the thread. Could make it consistent that they're separated from the Warp/Immaterial as well.
