Maybe Biden will fuck up and try and fight, only for DC to get glassed and the US military to get eviscerated for everyone else to fall in line.

Okay according to the Star Wars RPG a Hoth Sized Shield Generator costs 500,000 credits which sounds ridiculously cheap tbh. Meanwhile your standard crappy Slugthrower rifle goes for 250 credits. An Earth Slugthrower is of far higher average quality so we can corner the market.

For only two thousand small arms sold we can purchase our own Hoth Sized Shield Generator. But we'll need lots of them to protect our major cities and important locations.

Also... We'll need to find a way to ship things to and from a long time ago in a galaxy far far away... Which means the Stargate program is going to have to slingshot a Supergate matter stream around the sun and find a way to power it while our science team figures out how to triangulate the exact coordinates needed to make the purchases necessary.

I know. I know. "If we have time travel why don't we-" ITS NOT IN THE OP. We can't create a paradox that prevents the OP from it happening. It's inevitable like one of those dumb "canon events" or whatever that superhero movies made up.

Probably faster.
The imperium is, after all, Human, and a more or less known entity.
Some religious zealots might be a problem and get bombed into the stone age, like Iran and the Arab world.

But it is possible that between the flexibility of the imperial cult and the history of Big E some rules lawyering could be used.

You should not discount the access to advanced tech like those life prolonging drugs the Imperium has.

TBH this is a very interesting scenario, and I would love to see what happens next.

They could repel first invasion,but that would be all.SG Earth should rather negotiate better capitulation in this scenario,becouse they could not defend from any major thread there.

And,as fucked as it is,IoM is still better then any other alternative with possible exception of Tau.
It would be rather stupid to repel IoM and fall to DE,Chaos or somebody as nice as them.

Space travel tech would be shared and we could begin to effectively exploit our solar system’s resources. We might even get in the AdMech’s good graces with our computing technology. It is quite amusing how Imperial rule could even benefit us to an extent.
