So, getting back to the supposed purpose if this thread. What would the biggest early contribution be?

My first thought would be the Greeks defeating the Persians and permitting the rise of Democracy and the development of Western Culture.

Meh, that's been mythologized into a thing beyond it's historical impact because the Romans stole Greek culture for their own and the Renaissance copy-pasted it because it was cooler than medieval culture and it gave a good historical tale and story of the brave European/western Culture-group battling against the (from their perspective) "Ottoman er, Persians"! Greek culture was as far-removed from Western as any other group in the Med at the time, or as the Persians were for that matter (a case could be made modern cultural inclinations have more similarity to Persian than Athenian or Spartan, actually, since the West in general has migrated back to a more localized and distributed power with codes of citizenship and conduct based more around civic values than the 'democracy' of Athens or the warrior-slave-duty society in Sparta).

If anything, more credit for the development of 'Western Culture' in that vein lies not with Athens or Sparta or 'Greece' of the Classical Period (though it would influence things), but with the subsequent Macedonian kingdom which conquered them, and the brief but influential synthesis-Empire that Alexander forged in the process of 'conquering' Persia and others and creating the distinct Hellenistic culture that would be iterated on by all the Diadochi and successor-states (Rome and Parthia--followed by the Sasanians--most notably).
But, then, that gets one into argument over how applicable it is to the thread since the status of Middle-Easterners as the colloquial 'white' is debated since 'white' is such a fungible description over time and doesn't exist in an identifiable and particular way over time the way, say, 'Greek' or even'European' or such does.

Which, in that respect, I don't know why you'd relegate your history to a month or to a blatantly biased subset. Human history is broad and complex, and sees interplay, interaction, and iteration between groups as one of its largest drivers. Identitarian branding makes little sense from a historical perspective precisely because of ethnic adoption of foreign cultural values (or extension of them onto other ethnicities). There are better ways of focusing historical investigation and learning.

10/10 to the thread-maker for trolling eye-rollingness, though. Because that's something history needs more of. Not like too many people already don't understand enough of it, might as well add blatant identitarian politics into the mix.

I just like to debate history. I’d debate black history too, but all I know about black history is where it intersects white history, or ‘Why Were Belgian Kings Such Dicks?’ etc.

I would assert that without the Greek victory over the Persians that Persian mores would have remained dominant and that the idea of Democracy would either not have developed or developed significantly later than it did.

The Athenians were far from perfect, but they did take the first fumbling steps down the road that eventually led to modern Democracies like the US. Also, the Greeks in general were into science and philosophy in a way the Persians weren’t.

Well there must've been a reason for why that fellow chose July as White History Month. Let's see what happened on July 2nd in history.

Ah here we go...

The Treaty of Tordesillas was ratified in Spain on July 2nd, 1494 as brokered via Papal Bull by Pope Alexander VI to mollify the rivalry between the Catholic Kings of Portugal and Spain over possession of the New World. Though not the first treaty signed during the Age of Exploration and Discovery, it was one of the most famous ones having been signed only two years after Colombus' 1st Voyage to the New World. It would be one of the first treaties signed between the Christian powers of White Europe which would not only bring peace to the Old World, but help lay the foundation for what would be a largely peaceful and amicable brokering of Colonial interests to advance into the New World to help civilize the natives both savage and noble and tame their clearly unused and underutilized lands, putting it to good use and making something of this vast realm of riches for the benefit of all of White Humanity.

But wait there's more. On July 2nd, 1962 the greatest commercial venture ever known to Humankind was founded by a White man in the deep, deep South and became a haven not just for every breed of White Trash as often envisioned but also every breed of consumer regardless of shade of color, ethnicity, legal status and blood sugar count. That's right, this is the anniversary of the founding of WAL-MART. Noted Southern White Male, gun user, sportsman and unrepetent dime store entrepreneur Sam Walton opened the first Wal-Mart in Rogers Arkansas fifty eight years ago and grew to one of the largest mega corporations in the world as well as bringing together more people of different backgrounds then several decades worth of Cops TV Shows.

And finally... only two years after Sam Walton took advantage of his 'Whiteness' to solve America's economic and consumer woes, another group of White men, known as Congress and under the steady stewardship of yet another Good Ol' Southern Boy named President Lyndon B. Johnson signed into law the CIVIL RIGHTS ACT OF 1964 and with a single stroke of his pen, this good ol' Southern Democrat put an end to racism in America... forever...

I can't wait to see what contributions we will discover White people have made on July 3rd! 🙃

EDIT: The whole Marxism advocacy group seems to be a boogey man.
iT really does, and the postmodernism thing too. I desperately need dots to explain what shitting on tropes as a substitute for cleverness has to do with the tropiest political movements of the 20th century, and what minority obsessed right-brains have to do with populist left-brains.
Thread tax: ROME that is all.:)
That would be an immense insult if white people were real.

Why isn’t white history month a thing then? Shouldn’t that also be commercialized and shouldn’t we have big “it’s okay to be white” banners plastered on McDonalds?
There's little unifying white culture in America though. Europe kinda has Europeanism, but America rejects that, and replaces it with a bunch of cultures, while American culture as a whole is race-independent as it's heavily individualistic. In its place are a number of cultures that are frequently closer to non-white cultures than other white cultures (the multi-nation hypothesis of America goes into this more). For example, poor white rednecks and poor rural black people have a lot more in common than do poor white rednecks and the white liberal elite. This ends up with a significant lack of shared identity on long racial lines in white America. Few white americans, if asked what they identify as, will say white.

Instead, the targeting is at other, smaller but more cohesive and self-identifying groups, like Christians, or Southerners, or rednecks, or hipsters, etc (these groups aren't exclusively white, just put there for examples of mostly white groups being targeted by marketing).
