Murder comes with consequences, whodda thunk? It didn't help them one bit when French naval ships forced them to pay reparations

It was a brutal time for a brutal moment to get satisfaction but it was short lived. They fancied themselves an Empire too but the first emperor ruling with an iron fist got his own compatriots to put an end to him, Dessalines died as brutally as the French blood he demanded for his justice.Murder comes with consequences, whodda thunk?
There's more to the story here.I think the official explanation is that Haitian justice system is in shambles. Unofficial explanation is that this was CIA/SD op and they are making sure they won't talk, either via cushy deal or a permanent solution.
I do NOT think the Biden administration was involved in the assassination. If the US wanted to permanently solve the problem of their alleged assassins, it'd of been cleaner to deal with it in Haiti then bringing them back to the US Justice System. I mean they already assassinated a President, it's not like Assassins have traditionally had a long history of living fulfilling lives after successfully carrying out their acts.
Well, if what Robovski says is accurate and they planned the attack on American soil, they're guilty of serious crimes in America. If the Haitians aren't in a position to deal with them, why not throw them to the American legal system instead? I'd think it's perfectly reasonable and understandable for the US government to want to come down on any of their citizens going globe trotting to gun down foreign heads of state. Not a great look on the world stage, and a good way to get accused of staging it as a deniable operation. Best damage control they can do is to throw the book at the perpetrators themselves.
The crime was commited in Haiti they should face Haitian justice.
Haiti apparently doesn't have the infrastructure or security capable of dealing with these assassins. Probably something similar to how Cartel leaders in Mexico are threatened with extradition to the United States, such as how El Chapo did his Bond Villain escape from a maximum security Mexican Prison after two years.... only to be captured again in the midst of another Bond Villain esque escape when his place was raided.
Yes, because summary "justice" for presumed crimes, in the form of killing, is a fantastic way to improve an appearance of corruption and build trust in an unliked government. They need a trial, because it should be a basic human right, and they need it for the image both domestically and internationally. They can't hold one though, because corruption is so bad the judge's don't feel safe, there's no chance at all of either the judge or jury remaining unthreatened by coercion or intimidation, and even just holding them before and during, they can't guarantee their safety or incarceration. Since they also committed crimes in the US and those problems don't apply there, and also it's a positive for the US to show that they'll punish their citizens who plan international terrorism, why not let them face US justices?Ok there is a simple solution for this problem.

Because you will have shown that your government is so weak that it can't even hold it's own trials undermining it's legitimatacy even furtherYes, because summary "justice" for presumed crimes, in the form of killing, is a fantastic way to improve an appearance of corruption and build trust in an unliked government. Yeah... But, if they are actually that weak, better to admit it than to try anyway and fail. Especially if it fails in such a way that the perpetrators walk away free in some way. Obviously it would be best if they could deal with it themselves, but since they can't extradition to the US for their crimes there isn't a terrible option.Because you will have shown that your government is so weak that it can't even hold it's own trials undermining it's legitimatacy even further

Sensing other countries will suffer similar fates soon. That's how they used to do it in the Caribbean, albiet after a trial.
The moment they stopped, all those countries went third world haarrdd/
Reuters said:Once in the country, Palacios said he began training to kidnap someone from a fortified building, and before the start of the operation on July 7, 2021, he was told Moise would die, according to the statement.
Palacios is the fifth to plead guilty in this case, with three so far being sentenced to life in prison. Palacios is set to be sentenced on March 1.
The defendants include a Florida pastor, a former Haitian senator, an ex-informant for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and businessmen accused of supplying the funds and weapons for the attack.
Palacios said he took no part in planning the operation and served as "line soldier," taking orders from other Colombians including German Rivera, sentenced to life in prison.
