What's causing this blowup ?

Back in 2018 it was revealed that the Venezuelan Government was bribing Haitian officials through their Petrocaribe Initiative to the tune of billions of dollars which was meant to subsidize fuel costs in Haiti. Plus Petrocaribe dried up due to Venezuelan mismanagement and sanctions which caused the fuel prices to rise.

Also a cholera epidemic that was likely brought into the country by UN Peacekeepers.

Covid probably didn't help things much either.

On top of literally everything else that's going on in Haiti.
