National Guard is useless. Like they're carrying around guns as if they're ever going to use them.
People are looting the strip mall that's literally across the street from the Police Station. The State had 24 hours to prepare for this nonsense and they failed again.
The curfew even started in daylight. It's night time and there's still a thousand dudes hanging out in front of the police station, mostly Whitebread antifatard types while everyone else is redistributing the wealth by looting local businesses they used to shop at two days ago.
Only places safe from the looting will be the Police Station and the Wal-Mart again. Good luck everybody else.

Well of course. That's obvious. It's just people seem to not think it is. Like calling out the National Guard is some magic wand of crime prevention when they're basically functioning as security guards in cool uniforms.
This strip mall is almost literally across the street from the Police Station. There's looting going on, but it happens after a bunch of scrawny White dudes dressed up as Antifa dorks smashed the windows of the Dollar Store and ran inside and just started knocking stuff off of the shelves and throwing things around.
Of course the Antifa guys didn't attack the local Pizzeria guarded by the guys with scary black rifles.
And yes, unlike some of the businesses looted yesterday, the ones in this strip mall are literally local small businesses and franchises getting vandalized by what I'm guessing are initially out of towner white bread wannabe antifa types.

Yes. But counterpoint: Diablo sauce is amazing--and I've never seen it in bottles sold at stores anywhere.

More rioting in Minneapolis that spills out onto local businesses because the rioters are too pussy to do anything against cops--y'know, the ones at fault in all the shitshows and complaints over cops.
More incompetent policing and Nat'l Guard by the government in question--abandoning locals to rioters because lines of cops in front of precinct buildings and Nat Guardsmen with no magazines in their guns make good photo-opportunities.
But I'm sure insurance will cover (some) of it.
And in a short while we'll wonder why urban centers prone to rioting have such a desert of retail grocery-stores or local businessmen having a go at restaurants or the like.
Get out of the cities and the suburbs, folks. I don't expect it'll get any better anytime soon.

okay, for one, national guard are usually people from around the area, and probably know some of the people rioting. Now, one also needs to know, if an officer orders the guardsmen to open fire. A good amount will not obey, because if they arnt attacking you, ROE is you do not engage...

They are useful if you deploy them en mass and use more then infantry. Havjng Bradley's and Abrams rolling down the street would make then stop

Yep have the pain rays and acoustic crowd control be plan e. In the meantime break out the armor and make it clear attempting to set them on fire will get you shot. Although to be fair a lot of states NG don't have armor. At best they'll have some M113s and Strykers
You want to resort to actually bringing pain onto them for very last. You want to try and disperse them any other way. That way you can do it without causing issues.
Like park a Stryker, an uparmored humvee with weapons, an M113, etc on the streets
