So it seems the victim had slapped the shooter away, then they brought the pepperspray/gun out at the same time. It seems like the shooter was trying to grab the victims mace when he got slapped away.

I did find that Kyle Clark, a big name with 9News, follows the Colorado Springs chapter of Antifa on Twitter. It's possible this 'bodyguard' was a hired Antifa goon given a legit cover, and that's where the early reports about this being Antifa came from.

Normally news people are smart enough to know that getting directly involved like that?

Not only is it unprofessional but it creates direct liability for you and for your company and it damages the protected status that reporters have. The smart move for the company is to publically fire any one responsible for this and settle with the victims family. The unsmart move is to hold their ground.

When that happens we get discovery and if their as biased as they seem that sinks them as a business.

So far the news and cops are saying he had no connection to Antifa.

But given Denver is a Dem controlled city and has been for at least a decade now, along with Kyle Clark's ties to Antifa, I put even odds on further investigation finding ties between the shooter and Antifa.

Whether he's antifa or not, unlike with the Rittenhaus case there is nothing here that warrants lethal shots in self defense. A slap and a can of mace are not the same thing as being repeatedly clobbered over the head by a blunt weapon while prone, with others, some armed, closing in.

This is 2nd degree murder, plain and simple.

I would have joined one of the protests, but alas, missed my chance and my town's been fairly quiet since. Ah well.

The massive levels of polarization in America are, I will admit, deeply concerning. While I would have been fairly unconcerned about joining in any kind of civil unrest-induced conflict before, the fact that I have a girlfriend who wants to throw herself into the fire even more has reordered my priorities around keeping her safe. Hopefully, the coming election will start calming things down...

The protests are merely a smoke screen, a diversion meant to sow distractions and disorder. Confuse the sheep and they can not see what is in front of them. Cause disorder and separate them, and they can not unite and act towards a common goal. They will fight each other instead of the true enemy.

The protesters. The police. All fake. All of them. Staged by the wealthy and corporations. They is just another one of their attempts to control the masses. They do this for their true masters. They wish to use humans for whatever they want. And those with wealth and power serve them in the hopes of receiving more wealth and power.
