It's a election year and the left knows it doesn't have a chance of winning honestly so they are trying to destroy as much as they can and hope people are stupid enough to blame the right and get elected that way.

Third degree murder was a stretch, and this is the Second Degree statue.

Short of them finding a bunch of evidence showing the cop wanted to kill him, or they stack the jury to the point he get's pretty much an automatic appeal, there's no way they will actually get a second degree conviction.

Sorry I’m late to the party...anyway, I was talking with a lawyer friend of mine and basically there’s a point in the footage where one of the other cops says they can’t find a pulse and the cop just stays there applying pressure for another two minutes rather than just getting up or calling EMT immediately.

So that’s where they’re getting the second degree charges. I’m no fan of Keith Ellison but this isn’t a case of overcharging -it seems like the county prosecutor went with what was available and more info was uncovered. It’s also why the other three are being charged as well.

They might get 2nd degree through the felony murder rule. I'm really not sure what the other crime would be though. Kieth Ellison is not a good prosecutor. The other option is showing that the cop intended for Floyd to die. I'm not sure they can prove that.

No, this is why having elected prosecutors is a good idea: it let's you vote them out. Otherwise they are political appointees and just bad in a different manner. You want the community to have say in how crime is prosecuted.

Felony murder is first degree, not second. As I said above, the cop just continuing what he was doing even after being told there was a problem is how they’re arguing intent; eight minutes would have probably been enough but a stretch, but when one of them says “I can’t find a pulse” that’s a clear sign something’s wrong. The cop didn’t need that.

We are not going to see a Civil War. We've seen violent riots like this before and we survived as a Nation. And we will survive this. What we are seeing is the violent throws of Liberal America. Notice how virtually all the major riots are in Democrat held strongholds.

I'm seeing things on Social Media about how this is essentially Red Pilling so many people. People are starting to wake up and see things for what they are.

So why is it that the black communities in these Democratic strongholds, which have been voting Democrat for 50 plus years...why are they some of the worst off communities around?
