Well, my area made the transition from peaceful protests to riots last night. I reposted this somewhere... And people apparently think the National Guard is in the wrong for returning fire because the person they were returning fire at was in a crowd of protestors...

They also think the article is lying about the gun, and that if there was a gun the protestors would have somehow gotten it away from the person firing it before they could hurt anyone.

I mean, lets just ignore that the person firing from the protestors could have hit anyone and not just the NG unit he was aiming at. And that the national guard has a right to defend themselves.

It is literaly in our training to fire back when shot at, since if you shoot at a soldier it isnt by accident

He means if something happens the idiots who tried blaming the guard to defend the rioters would try to shift the blame anywhere else including to people complaining about the idea

I wish it wasn't the case, but I am the sole conservative/centrist in an extended family of dyed-in-the-wool neolibs and progressives. My own immediate family was part of the CO state Dem party on several levels.

I am living in enemy territory, and know how blind these people are, yet they are unwilling to consider that they have blinders on at all.

I maybe in the Philippines but my family all watch a LOT of CNN or any other Left-Aligned Mainstream News outlets and my dad while praising Duterte keeps going on about how Trump is "sirang ulo"

Part of why I HATE eating with them all is them turning on those news channels all the time
