Someone made a nice little video about this entire fucking debacle with Antifa riots with a perfect title.

One cookie for anyone willing to post it on the other sites and see the reactions and rationalizations.

That final phrase "Wh should we have to negotiate a ceasefire with peaceful protestors?" Like.. how can they come back from that?

Wakie wakie.

Goodbye jobs.

Eh, I have slept through worse

The Falklands are Serbian, you cowards.
Street fights are a Rome LARP. Cops LARP as legionaries (heavy armor, shields and formation tactics) and rioters as barbarians (large mobs, throwing weapons, diverse armament, pretend to be against the Empire). The whole mass protest thing is nothing but elite theatrics, because we are in an age of machine guns and universal surveillance. Any protest can be nipped in the bud by arresting leaders and terminated with extreme prejudice if it does happen because of a secret police slip-up. Sustained unrest is a tool of intra-elite battles, nothing more. CHAZ was allowed to go on as long as it was making President Trump look weak, and it was terminated as soon as the commies acted uppity by inconveniencing the mayor.

Authentic direct action of the masses is looting a liquor store or beating a hated official to death, not a series of pretend battles. The unrest in Portland and elsewhere will stop as soon as the Powers That Be realize it's making them look worse than Trump (before Labor Day).

I said above that this is a Rome LARP, and it's really instructive to see what part of the Roman Republic is being LARPed:

[Clodius] had noticed that violence and physical force had become the main means of maintaining dominance in Roman politics. Therefore, he abolished the restrictions on establishing new collegia, the old social and political clubs or guilds of workmen, and had them set up through his agents. These guilds were essentially organized and trained as gangs of thugs, and Clodius used them to control the streets of Rome, by driving off the supporters of his political opponents.

These men were attacking any politician who dared to confront their patron, by means of various forms of harassment, including accosting and beating in the streets, loud booing, showering with filth at the games, besieging houses by throwing rocks or even weapons and, at times, even attempting to burn them. Thus the opposition to Clodius was muted and he became the “king of the Roman streets”.

[...]

Then his gangs set up a blockade of his house, forcing Pompeius to stay at home until the end of that year, to avoid the attacks.

[...]

In January 57, one of the new tribunes tried to pass the bill, but his attempt was met by the usual violence and failed, making clear that the domination of the streets and public spaces of Romes by the gangs of Clodius had to be faced with similar violent methods. Pompeius approved for the tribunes T. Annius Milo and P. Sestius to raise their own street gangs in order to oppose Clodius’ thugs, with some gladiator trainers and ex-gladiators as leaders and trainers. Street fighting continued through the first half of 57 but eventually Clodius lost the battle and the bill about Cicero passed.

Clodius subsequently attacked the workmen who were rebuilding Cicero’s house at public cost, assaulted Cicero himself in the street, and set fire to the house of Cicero’s younger brother Q. Tullius Cicero.

In 56 BC, while curule aedile, he impeached Milo for public violence while defending his house against the attacks of Clodius’ gang, and also charged him with keeping armed bands in his service. Judicial proceedings were hindered by violent outbreaks, and the matter was finally dropped.

In the elections of 53 BC, when Milo was a candidate for the consulship and Clodius for the praetorship, violent clashes erupted in the streets of Rome between the gangs of Clodius and Milo, twice delaying the election.

On January 18, 52 BC, Clodius was returning to Rome by way of the Appian Way from a visit to some of his holdings in the hinterlands. Clodius was travelling lightly with a band of 30 armed slaves and, uncommonly for him, without his wife. By chance, Milo was travelling the other way with his wife as well as an escort which included gladiators, and the two groups passed each other. The encounter between the two groups passed without incident until the last pair at the back of each train began a scuffle. It is then believed that Clodius turned back and was wounded by a javelin thrown by one of the gladiators in Milo’s party. He was brought to a nearby inn for his wounds, while his slaves were killed or driven off.

Milo made the decision that a live political enemy was more dangerous than a dead one and ordered that his gladiators kill the injured Clodius. The body was later discovered by a passing Roman citizen and sent back to Rome. There, Clodius’ wife and two tribunes rallied his supporters to use the Curia as Clodius’ funeral pyre, which resulted in the destruction of the Curia Hostilia. This action and the need to restore order in Rome are cited as the key reasons for the Senate’s appointment of Pompey as Consul without colleague.

Street gangs set upon political factions, fighting in the streets, anarcho-tyranny? You could say America was founded as a Rome LARP, so it's rather fitting.

Just like in Rome, street protests are a rich man's game: Clodius, Ted Wheeler and Chuck Schumer are all fabulously wealthy power-hungry sociopaths who pretend to care about the common man. Fortunately for America, we have lictors DOJ loyal to the consul president to keep order in the capital and we're decentralized enough that disorder occurs far from the center of power. I'm still amazed at the theatrical quality of it all: everybody agrees to not use deadly force, feds never try to break the crowd into smaller sections and arrest each one, Antifas keep trying to burn the same courthouse when there's so many juicy capitalist pig targets elsewhere, while the cops leave the ringleaders alone, allowing the theatrics to continue.

He’s pivoting back to the center.

It’s clear as day designed to undercut Trump.

The leftover police will NOT consider committing suicide by these guys

First they're for it and now they're against it?

He’s pivoting back to the center.

They depend so much on the short term memory of Far Leftists and the fact that their moral compass has the consistency of playdo and more about getting public approval than realizing and finding out and doing the right thing

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.
Curious question but if you're an American citizen and you're given the option to pay an optional tax to a city that cut itself by a mayor that allowed riots to happen and forbade the police to do anything would you pay it or say go fuck yourself and tell them to get the rioters and their symphathisers to pay for it with their own GFM?

You could, but that could end up being an issue, Get enough people and you can fight it
Perhaps I've heard it from a few people. I don't remember anything overly conclusive though.
From what I understand it would make the narrative the cops gave to be true compared to that of what we are shown by other footage

It's already moot when Trump denied them federal emergency funding but it's a interesting question to consider.

A city inflicts a lot of damage on themselves when it could've been prevented. Is there still sympathy to provide enough money to address the costs? Will it happen again that there will still be symphathy to clean it up?

Will the money get embezzled? There's a high chance when there's these opportunistic riot GFMs I saw on Twitter.

Hell Trump may decide to cut Federal funding period to cities that allow Federal buildings to be damaged in the riots? I mean what is to stop him doing that?

But for some this is 'Fascist' posturing.

In the American civil war was that part of the grievance? Contempt over federal authority?

Seattle protestors managed to seriously injure Seattle PD's first Muslim Woman on the force and one of its few Arabic speakers. She was one of the 21 police officers injured in protests last weekend in response to an attack on their Police Station which resulted in at least one eight inch hole being blown into their police precinct buildings wall.

Officer Elyssa Khalifé came from Lebanon and three years ago became a citizen, holding a Masters in Criminal Justice. If the Seattle PD is defunded, chances are likely it'll be Officers like her who were hired for their ability to outreach to marginalized community will be the first ones laid off. (y)

That's not very progressive of them.
