That's an interesting position, considering that up until 2013 women weren't even allowed to partake in certain combat-related jobs in the US army. Also, you don't really get to "coast by" on the army, on ANY army.

....I run the BCP program where I am stationed.

I can absolutely tell you that people do just coast by, are proven dirt bags, and yet somehow always get recognized for hard work and dedication.

I've had too, four times now (three female and one male), remind my chain of command that we can not promote a marine who is on the program per the order.

They always throw a hissyfit, and you always have to stand your ground and take the accusations of ruining a persons career with the answer that they ruined their own career by letting themselves get fat.
