Disappointed you are paying for them. Normally if an Anglo Navy wants a French Frigate they just take it at Cutlass point.
How far the Apple has fallen :p
It's the Italian version of the ship. In fact, if what I heard is true, DCMS lost the opportunity to make a lot of money from this contract, by their own fault.

True enough but at least the USN is still naming destroyers after said personnel and will for foreseeable future.
Well, it's a long-honored tradition for the USN in that regard. Most of the USN destroyers were named by DD and other smaller vessel captains. Mahan, Fletcher, Benson, Burke, Zummwalt... all of whom are captains of such small vessels of their day.

To be fair until the advent of the frigate most Admiral's first sea command was a DD and even now that's still the case for a decent chunk of them
