Reminder: Republican Governors were able to suddenly find the backbone to go after Ben and Jerrys Ice Cream over Israel but can't even make a half assed effort regarding tech companies because "muh FrEe MaRkEt!!!!". The sooner you accept the need to nationalize and break up companies is when this shit ends, because all of this otherwise was, is and will always be impotent whining.
You are not wrong.
We have let effective monopolies form in many areas of the US market. Nationalizing them might be simpler and more useful in the long run than trying anti-trust legislation that almost never is used or enforced anymore.

What we need is a system geared more towards benefiting small businesses and customers, rather than the one we have now which is geared exclusively towards benefiting the largest corporations.

The problem with attempting to nationalize a disfunctional industry in the US is all the people who will scream "that's socialism/communism!" and "Muh Freedumbs!" in bitter opposition.
Plus, the regulatory framework meant to protect against abuses will invariably be used to quash alternatives.
