We are talking 30% (american) to 60% (japanese) of men having gone their own way.
This number is
utterly ridiculous.
I doubt that
3% of men are MGTOW, much less 30%. If you can provide a decent base of evidence, I'm opening to reevaluating my perception on this, but it's going to have to be more than one or two articles from the manosphere.
That said, you have a
partial good point about the 35-40 year old women who have the alarm on their biological clock ring, and find they can't get the kind of man they want.
However, as obnoxious as he may be, Shipmaster Sane also has a point about such things.
The problem those 35-40 year old women are having, is they aren't
finding the kind of man that they want. Not that they can't find a man, period. They are still living in a culture and economy of incredible prosperity and surplus, and are mad that they can't find a '6-6-6' man, with the six-figure income, six-feet tall, and six inch dick. They still think they can get the 'complete package' after their most attractive and fertile years are behind them, and
you are right in that if they stay like that, they're going to end up bitter old women with too many cats and too much wine.
Where Shipmaster Sane is right, is if society defaults back to a harsher, more violent place, or collapses altogether, and that woman becomes
genuinely desperate? You bet that moderately-attractive 35-40 year old woman either throwing herself, or being thrown by a ranking male in this newer society, at a socially awkward 20-something guy who has no idea how to woo a woman in a romantic way, but is very damn good at his job, will almost certainly put on a nice dress, call him sir, and that lonely awkward young man will protect and take care of her in return.
It's not like he ever had any
other chance at having a woman warm his bed, and again
if she's actually desperate, if her sinecure in an HR department no longer exists, she'll
learn to cook, clean, and satisfy an autistic 28-year old who can make cars or computers work.
Not all of the modern feminists. There are a very slim number who are 'true believers' who will actually keep shooting their mouths off until it leads to them getting killed. There are also an even slimmer number who actually have useful skills beyond 'socially manipulating men and other women to do what they want' who might become useful in other ways.
Most women (and frankly most men) when put under pressure will conform to social expectations, and when prosperity collapses under the weight of social degeneracy, a lot of people's behaviors will drastically change.
Most people are too self-serving to have honest historical introspection, but if France actually becomes Muslim-dominated, if any western nation sees an actual broad-spectrum equally-sized backlash against feminism, there will be a lot of old women lamenting how hard they fought to destroy the security and privilege that good Christian men once built for them, and long for its return. The good Christian men of their generation will tell them, 'we tried to warn you, but you refused to listen, and helped bring this tragedy on us all.'
What younger good Christian men remain will be carefully choosing their brides from among women of better character, and probably raising the generation that will have a chance at rebuilding a healthier society again. They (my own children hopefully among them) will treat their spouses with mutual respect, and have an excellent view of what happens when marriages and family collapse, and the government takes the place of the man of the house.
I look at the social dynamic in the church I attend. The senior pastor is a man, the children's ministry leader is a woman, the compassionate care team is lead by a woman, the hospitality team is lead by a man. Men are expected to treat women with respect, women are expected to treat men with respect. Most any man in the church, including the frail old men, would come out swinging and lay his life down to protect any of those women, and especially the children.
It's a mutually supporting community; during harvest season, there's a table by the door with free fresh produce, that people bring to pass off to literally anyone else who wants it. There's a stockpile of frozen 'just throw in the oven' meals in the church freezer for anyone who needs them. There's regular community service projects. The church is going to be letting the local high school's cheerleading team use its gym over the next few weeks, because they and a sports team both at the school are training up for tournaments.
All of these things are rejected by feminists, because the church would not support a 'sexually liberated woman' ideology, because we believe there are only two genders, because we believe in humility and submission to God, instead of the exaltation of man over all.
They decided to throw the baby out with the bathwater, and the more the Christians plead with them to not be self-destructive, the more contemptuous and hostile most feminists grow.
We didn't want a Mad Max future, an Imperial Rome future, for us or for them, but if they keep tearing apart the society that lavished them with privileges and security, eventually they'll get it.
