Getting really fucking sick and tired of the 'celebration parallax' with transgenders.
"I just think we shouldn't be performing sex reassignment procedures on minors..."

"THAT LITERALLY NEVER HAPPENS"

"So then there shouldn't be any issue making it illegal to perform sex reassignment on minors, right?"

"THIS IS LITERALLY GENOCIDE ARM YOURSELVES!!"

They're the dangerously mentally ill and unhinged that've been given validation from corrupt politicians and corporate entities looking to use them as cats' paws; what did you expect?
One thing which bothers me so much is that all of their safe-spaces are such artificial echo chambers and the circular reinforcement within them results in comically accelerated radicalization.
Not even 4chan gets so riled up, you get dozens of alternating opinions there, even if there's an overall tone.

Are you fucking kidding me?

Okay, here's a challenge for these networks: do a documentary where Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, or Malcom X is portrayed by a White or Asian actor/actress.

Go on. I fucking dare you, you revisionist, racist cunts.
I had assumed that it was a joke, but nope.
Fortunately it's just a play and not a Netflix special... for now.

Plays and theatre I can sort-of understand because colour-blind casting has been a thing for centuries by this point.

However, in this modern climate? It's just a bad idea, period. Usually it's less about colour-blind casting and more about an agenda, as we see with the BBC, Netflix, et cetera, and people take it as such.

A good example? The original stage play of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child had a colour-blind casting of Hermione -- the Black actress played the role well. Even twenty years ago, people would've understood/be fine with this, knowing that it wasn't some statement that Hermione the character was Black but it was just colour-blind casting in action.

However, when it came out? You've got wokies and other people out there hellbent on believing that Hermione was always Black, and this example of colour-blind casting confirmed it. It was affirmation in their eyes.

Conversely, if they did a stage play of Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, or Malcom X with colour-blind casting e.g. a White actor/actress? They'd go fucking batshit insane.

Blame the wokies for pissing in the drinking water. Fucking social plague rats.

Yeah, theater usually ignore race of actors unless the role is heavily tied to race (IE Othello) this is especially true of small local theaters that aren't drawing from a large pool of actors. In the instances where the character's race is hugely important to the story though, they'll generally try and maintain it (again, Othello) or if they're getting really creative, they will race swap the ENTIRE cast in order to maintain that critical difference (see the production of Othello where Sir Patrick Stewart played Othello).

But a local theater putting on a production of MacBeth and the lead role is played by an Asian dude? Nobody's gonna bat an eye or think it was a message... at least unless they change the play to explicitly call it out. -.-

Like others have said, it's a theater production of Richard III. Theaters have practiced racially blind casting for decades out of practicality and convention (remember, in Shakespeare's time female characters were played by young men, race swapping is nothing compared to that :p) unless there was some strong thematic element requiring that actors be a certain race (the classic example of this being Othello, as I already noted). But given that race is not a critical part of Richard III, the role is basically allowed to be played by anyone.

For theater productions this is fine as there's a larger level of suspension of disbelief. Nobody sees a theater production and thinks "this is historically accurate / how it really happened" because the environment and way it is structured is so alien to real life that people's brains don't process it like that.

Up until recently, and if everyone still had common sense, this was the norm; unfortunately, woketards ruin everything and see everything as an affirmation of their bullshit views (see "Blackmione" as an example).

The wonders of diversity.

The problem isn't diversity its the lack of enforcement of cultural rules, national laws, and not forcing new groups to assimulate into the greater whole. The Dutch are pretty tolerant and have a great culture but if you move there you have to adjust to how things work.

When in rome do as the romans do essentially, and yeah that is a pain in the ass but if you really cant do it remain in your country of orgin it will be better for both yourself and everyone around you.
