Things have begun to reach the point of absurdity, but true self destruction no. We are very much in the early days of the current phase of politics, and I firmly belive we are going to see much crazier things.
But I also look at these guys and understand they will not own the world forever, they know it too which is why their behaving as they are.
Oh, it's the little things at the moment -- watching two Lefties go for each others' throats because X believes in Y while Z thinks Y is abhorrent (e.g. TERFs and "put on a dress and you're a woman!" FemNazis) is entertaining.
We do have to live for these little moments.
My goal however is to live long enough to see the worst assholes finally get what's coming to them.
In Poland german and american media accursed pope about pedophilia - using some american pedo priest as witness.And nobody else.

One thing that I learned thanks to my simbolically adoptive father-like figure and simbolically adoptive brother-like figure is that no group, movement, ideology, country/state/nation, individual is ABOVE criticism. The Sietch follows that philosophy so far from what I have seen.

My worry is that negligible senescence comes through and suddenly we are stuck with these assholes for the next few centuries. My guess is that successive waves of social change would see most of them dying off, but it would be an utter slog.
Well,we have 4 possible futures:
1. green-lgbt gulag - after few centuries,cyvilization fall,and tribes remain.All elites get eaten.
So,in long run,they would all die.
2.Caliphate - they would enslave us,but kill them all.
3.China empire - the same.They do not need competition in making gulags.
4.Return to normal world - USA would kill them,but we,poles,as merciful idiots would let them live,so one day they enslave us again.
Sight.Maybe it would be better if somebody kill all of us ?
So,as you see,they are in long run doomed.

There's already a monopoly. Its called the federal reserve.
Looking at it, it's basically, roughly, how it would work in a free market. The bank failed. The insurer (The FDIC), thus gets control of the entire bank in order to pay off the depositors. To do this, it sees if it can sell the bank off and save money, which it could.
It's the same thing that your car insurance does with your car when it gets totaled: they have the right to the title.
The problem isn't the sell off, it's the failure in the first place.
