They're "sorta omnivores" and can digest plant material. Their digestive system is optimized for meat but can handle easy to digest plant material ... which means it needs to be processed (i.e.: cooked) before they can get much of any nutrition out of it.
You probably aren't ever going to see a dog happily eat a garden salad unless the salad has meat in it or the dog believes it'll get a big meaty treat as reward.

For the record, Arie_M is a satirist and it's fairly apparent she never actually thought her dog was a vegetarian. Some of her other highlight videos involve her trying to prove the dog is a lesbian (It goes about as well as vegetarianism), and her suddenly growing rippling abs within seconds of drinking a single glass of water after reading that you can get healthier from drinking more water.

Well yeah. White rice fine, brown rice no. People in India kinda feed their dogs the same things they eat and most of that stuff is obviously rice. With some boiled eggs mixed in.

Look at the dog's "I don't want to be here" behavior and how she's treating it before the obvious cut-and-splice. I wouldn't be so sure of her claim about not forcing her dog to eat salads.
Not just India, more like any rural area in second or third world feeds dogs mostly with leftovers, with some cheapest/not too edible meat pieces thrown in.
