I mean, almost every role in the army or navy has an expectation of heavy physical work. They also totally lowered the standard to let them in, doesn’t matter the program. It’s amazing how many studies for mixed or all female units they have that are total disasters but have a conclusion that the only option is to go forward with the social experiment like all the meat of the report didn’t happen.

To be...'fair' (ish)...and relate to the point, doing so under the theory that modern military training techniques ('videotapes' is the stereotype McNamara gets hit with and...partially brought-on himself) and the centralized environment could make-up for their intellectual disabilities/challenges and that the experience would benefit those people in the long-run (casting it as a poor/troubled-individual relief program ala Johnson's whole schtick).

I understand the people inducted under that program were tracked and...Results did not conform to McNamara's assumptions about the ability of the military to raise intelligence and results of those people.
