The bait is just too perfect.

>the men using chainmail to clean them
How?
>doubling down with paint thinners
Definite troll, likely would not survive
>like 100 comments in mentions cast iron is porous
So THAT'S how it works!
>general advice is "rub with course salt and hot water, replace grease, heat"
Good to know if I find myself stuck using one

A sponge, some soap, and some water is all you need. Plus ... maybe ... a piece of cloth.

Idiots are everywhere.

Yeah. It takes like a 100 times of cooking for it to really season but there are shortcuts. Basically, it breathes with the heat. The pores open when it's hot and it sucks down a bit the grease, and the pepper, and the salt, and and and, then it cools and the pores close, keeping that bit safe until next time.

Every time you cook it happens, furthering that seasoning, making what you cook in those pans arguably tastier. Getting (at least) one cast iron pan, if you cook, is pretty much required imo.

And when you clean it, you do surface scrub, with like a scrubby pad or the meant for water metal wool chunks. Most of the time. And never ever put a hot pan into the water unless it's a real emergency, you're just asking for it to crack from the temp change. Ideally, you'll have a pan lid near by to smother any fires since you'll be better off strangling uncontrolled flame.

Can I just say I this timeline is the best timeline? "We'll have updates for you on the FBI censorship scandal and the CIA's involvement in the Kennedy Assassination, but first, I'm about to make fun of this guy." That quote is just fire.

It was against the law in hawaii to set off any firework. There's a permit process for firecrackers (which are not what is shown here, AFAICT). But the Hawaiians didn't care, shot of fireworks anyway, and told the bootsteppers to fuck off.

Like I am saying.
It won't stop the people from doing it.
Especially since it is the thing to do

That's the point. We should be mass disobeying dumb laws. It's a good thing to do, and it keeps government in check.
Civil disobedience is a tried and true tactic to get rid of dumb or abusive laws, as was soon during the Civil Rights Era.

The GOP and Right need to look at how MLK won, even if he didn't live to see it, and realize trying to arm up and prep for a 'Boogaloo' is less useful than mass non-compliance with farcical and abusive laws.

America was still a Christian nation when MLK was leading marches.

It isn't now.

Don't expect the tactics that work in a culture that worships Love and Grace, to work in a culture that worships power and debauchery.
