Election 2020 Election Fraud: Let's face it, this year will be a shitshow

Depending on how many governors he can get to go along with him, I think a constitutional amendment forbidding a single city from deciding more than one electoral college vote would be a creative solution.
I'm afraid people would merely get creative with the definition of 'city' - you would see LA become 28 different cities, and San Francisco become 17 more...

... unless you want to push for the Electoral College to become the sum of all counties of the US, with one county equaling one vote. Something that, while very interesting, won't be allowed to happen, IMO.

I think the dems panicked and fucked up.

Losing this election would have been bad for them yes, it would have led to a democrat civil war and the party would be out of commission for 2-4 years, its the same process the GOP went through after dubya fucked up all the things. The dems could easily survive that and come out the other side.

Yes some of their institutional power like big tech would be reduced but the party would be just fine.

Cheating and then getting caught red handed, that's the worst possible outcome for them.
The Democratic party would've been fine, but the neoliberal establishment would be out on their ear, just like their neocon butt buddies in the Republicans. Authoritarians of all stripes hate to give up power so this was a use it or lose it election for them.

Speaking of, is that rumor that Biden is considering Cheney for some position true? I don't buy it but it would be hilarious if it did happen.

What should be done with the EC is:

1) Set the size of the House to one Representative per 100,000 whole persons.
2) Assign Electors on the basis of 1 per 100,000 votes a candidate received with the winner of the state overall getting 2 (from the Senators), and with any remainder being divided proportionally among the candidates who have received electors. The last elector goes to whomever won the state.

That negates gerrymandering as an issue for the Presidential race and allows a much more fair representation of the population along with being a lot more inline with how the system is supposed to work.

Of course, that requires a Constitutional Amendment to make it viable.

Honestly, why didn't we do that back in the day? It seems like it'd solve a great many problems.
Not being well-versed on what the US Founding Fathers thought, I can see two reasons why not:

- Counties simply weren't that important back then(not sure if that was the case);

- Having the Electoral College based on counties pushes part of the power of the States onto the counties themselves(i.e., the counties become federal entities like the States, like in the current Brazilian Constitution) - the name of the country is the United States, not the United Counties...

Eh, looks like Eric Cartman, er, Tim Pool's podcast today(just started) is about Project Veritas' video on the USPS whistleblower being coerced.

Seems other sites are covering it

I recall they were afraid to have to go to cities with the riots occurring

Their employers probably want to shush them up and replace them with automated trucks
