It was blue up until the 80s iirc.I suppose it depends on how much the lead grows by the end of this. But you're certainly more purple than red, unlike before.
Keep in mind Texas was blue and gradually became red over quite a few decades, only starting to turn back to blue relatively recently. Or am I wrong on that count?
The difference between the senate and presidential votes in Texas is another interesting thing to consider here. Cornyn is in a fairly solid lead compared to Trump. This speaks not so much of Texas turning blue (as much as you think anyway) but that the Trump Derangement Syndrome proved more virulent than expected.coy or not the fact that it's as close as it is a sad state. It means we're blue. Any other candidate and we'd be blue.

Yes, Trump is right now 3,000 votes behind in NC.North Carolina has both Trump and Biden at 49.4% according to associated press.
If true? Could go either way.
