Hell no. At most, you provide security for humanitarian efforts. If those efforts are attacked, leave the area completely or retaliate and eradicate the attacking force. Then leave.

Too poor to have smartphones means that you're worse off than the typical homeless American. They probably have a smartphone and most of the ones I know also own a car.

Heck, one I know manages a liquor store. You need to pass background checks and be licenced to even work at a liquor store near where I live.

Perhaps, but I think the main concern IMO would be getting as many of those damn nukes secured as possible. If in theory C&C breaks down in a country like China and the nukes become a free-for-all? I don't think that's a Pandora's Box anyone's ready to deal with at the moment.

The median income for a person in China is the same as a person in Mexico. Ordinary people in China are already poor. Lots of companies are leaving China for other countries right now, and lots of governments are reconsidering their trade relations with them. It would not be difficult for the median income to slip from being comparable with Mexico to being comparable with Guatemala or Honduras.

I rather suspect that Chinese laws around divorce aren't as insanely punitive to men and one-sided as they are in the USA.

People get away with that in a US contex because we have a conquence free society, through out most of human history women accepted at some point in their lives that no your not going to get that tippy top guy just like most men accept that they are not going to marry a super model. People normally make adjustments and marry some one they can realistically get along with and have children.

Yeah. Save anything like that for in-person conversations. I was mostly just avoiding it because I thought it might cause disagreements. But if Australia clones people's phones on arrival so they can do a deep search of their data, then I bet China does as well, so it'd be best not to have anything like that in her history.

Pretty much my same reasoning. I speak even as my father is the one trying to do this to my mother, despite her being with psoriasis and rheumatoid arthtitis.

Yes. But if you're talking about staying together as if you were married then that would imply being together for many years. At that point, they can still file for settlement upon splitting up, in most places you file taxes in the same way too.
