I suspect he only killed a few people with an airsoft gun, before taking the gun off the cop he killed.
That or he managed to make an improvised gun and used that, which would be a first, AFAIK.

Canada's already has a growing secessionist movement in Albertia and another in Quebec that's only on pause because of a line of bribes that ottowa cant pay anymore. If the government pushes to far we will see the fall of Canada with in our lifetimes.

How likely would it be for such provinces to go independent? I know Quebec has a long history of bitching at the canadian government, so I am gonna guess they are the closest to that. But could Alberta end up joining the USA?
The split is unlikely. Joining the USA is not going to happen.

You can't fire actual bullets from the airsoft gun, so unless he was bludgeoning people with them, I reckon he was using an actual firearm for the killing.
Air guns can propell metal projectiles fast enough to kill decent sized game with the appropriate caliber.
Depending on range, position, and projectile choice, an airsoft gun can be lethal.

We are not talking about high end air guns but airsoft guns, which while modable, still can't produce enough force to be used in mass murder. Him getting a gun on the black market is much more likely.
