wow, those people have terrible timing, do they think your average person is going to sympathize with whiners while, we are dealing with more important things.

Or is the bakery now just a punching bag and people are trying to force them out of business with frivolous lawsuites?
 
Doesn't this guy have a sign basically saying they're not going to be doing that? Like, why would you go to a bakery basically known for exercising their right to refuse service to certain people? Why would you subject yourself to this and just go to some other bakery who will service you?

Is this the only bakery in town or something?

He defied the Far Left, stood up for his values and won. For that he must be punished. At this point it's clear he's been deliberately targeted.

At what point can you counter sue because this is malicious. @Emperor Tippy your thoughts?

Not a lawyer, so...

Generally, you can sue anyone for anything in the US (seriously, you could file a lawsuit against God because your dick is too small); the court just tends to toss that kind of thing and get annoyed at you for wasting the courts time.

More seriously, it would depend on state and federal law if a cause of action exists that would get a judge to even entertain the claim. In this case, you could probably find one that would pass the smell test for a civil claim (essentially anything that harms your business would meet that standard). The real difficulty would be proving that it was actually malicious.

I mean if you have the person on tape admitting that they created the situation and filed the lawsuit solely because they want to waste your time/money/punish you then you have a decent chance of winning. But absent that, the strong presumption is going to be against the lawsuit being malicious generally speaking.
 
It’s obvious that this guy is being targeted. These leftists are predators. They can get their gay or trans cakes anywhere else, but they can’t allow even a single dissenter to survive. He has to be crushed by any means necessary. That is how the far left operates and we can’t let ourselves forget it.

So the thing is, he makes a very good test case, which is unfortunate for him. To establish a right, one needs to be able to sue someone, so I totally get why they are suing him, given that it can be hard to find a homophobic person in the wedding industry. But fortunately, suing the same guy in a retaliatory suit makes the person suing look bad, which should weigh in the defendants favor. That's good for those of us wanting to secure rights.

They however never quite realize that one iron clad rule of politics is the rule of Retaliation and I don't know of a single SJW I met in real life who wasn't a hippocritical asshole.
