Bloomberg 2020, the (Five) Hundred Million Dollar Man!

Despite the poor showing in the debate, according to CBS News... he'll just need to spend another 80 million to offset his poor debate performance.

The thread title will require it's fourth retitling soon enough... :sneaky:

More bribe money to say he won?

You know, Bloomberg is such a fascinating candidate for the 2020 democrats. The field is already crowded with a total of 4 serious candidates still running strong (Biden, Warren, Sanders and Butt) and here he comes, swinging his wallet to the wind buying every ad slot this side of the Atlantic to do pretty much nothing. It's amazing how redundant he is.

None of the really left people on the democrats want him anywhere near the canditacy being a "racist" and of course a eeeeeeeeevil capitalist billionaire. None of the moderate democrats want him over the small scandals and the fact he is upseting the party even more. None of the moderate republicans see a point on voting for him over Trump especially not with his history of gun control and none of the die hard Trump supporters even consider him a factor and have moved on back to making fun of Bernie. He is basically running trying to get the moderate centrist voter that only voted Trump cause Hillary was worse but Trump has already cornered and taken complete control over that demographic over the last 4 years. They won't risk with him, they will just re-elect to keep the current status quo. He is driving the democrats further apart in internal strife.

In the beginning of the year I thought Bernie would cause the Democrats to go into a party civil war, even made a nice thread about it. But now looks like a challenger has appeared and the real spark will come not from tankies and neo-bolsheviks calling for the apotheosis of Bernie Sanders, but from Bloomberg trying to buy his way into the Presidency. I can just sit back and wait and see if we get some absolute top meme material like Bloomberg winning the nomination and Bernie endorsing him a là 2016 or Bernie finally growing a spine and running as the independent he really is.

I think Bloomberg may have convinced himself that if Trump can win the Presidency, then clearly given Trump's manifold failings as a human being, it must just have been because he was rich and spent money. And if Trump can do that, Bloomberg can, but better, right?

He should be thinking like a salesman

You don’t just bomboard people with advertisements to get them to buy, you show them a product they’d like and behave the way they like

Seriously, crudeness and casualness are things people find relatable and simply put the fact that Trump is willing to tell the WOKE crowd off gives a bunch of people a feeling of carthasis, he gives them the feeling that even they can tell them off as well

That might just be it. These executive types are well known for thinking you can just follow a formula without paying much attention to the actual ingredients and always get the same result. See: all of fucking Hollywood.

Perhaps, but I'm fairly certain why he wants to become president can be summed up in one word; China.

Basically, his business relies on close dealings with the Chinese government, and Trump's actions this far has endangered that. If Bloomberg becomes president, you can expect his first action in office to be to tie us as closely to China as he can manage, and for his presidency to be defined by acquiescing to the CCP's every demand.

Which corporations, politicians and rival businessmen would much prefer Trump’s economy than the one involving China?

How likely do you think is it that Bloomberg was part of President Trump's plans? Him tearing the democrats apart is just swell for President Trump after all.
