Bloomberg 2020, the (Five) Hundred Million Dollar Man!

@The Original Sixth
I think there maybe a chance that the Right Wing gets new blood of a sort, I mean there already are LGBT & Blacks voting for Trump

Though this may lead to a future divide, Soft-Libertarian-Right VS a Religious Right of sorts that decides to interfere with everyday stuff and impose sin taxes and ban stuff they consider immoral

That said, it maybe the newer voters or migrants they’d really all have to worry about as they maybe on average, a different mindset and easy prey to the Democratic Socialists who would enforce help for them and stuff

Correction. The Democrats have lost this round.

You aren't wrong that these victories have undercut their field, but the real issue is that the Democrats are sort of retarded when it comes to math and demographics. The Democrat's strategy is based on minority groups displacing the European majority. The Democrats looked at the influx of immigrants into the Mid-West south, the growing Deep South black population, and the influx of other immigrants from around the world and realized this was a growing power bloc.

The problem is that they believed that the shift would occur faster than it has. A lot of the power thinkers in the DNC are from California and New York City. And especially in California, white people are being swept away by immigrants and lower birth rates. The problem for the DNC is that this is not a good national strategy. They lost the Blue Wall in 2016 because the vast demographic in New England territory is full of white old people.

Honestly, the gay debate isn't over. Not entirely.

Because see, the court is shifting conservative and all it takes is one (or a handful) of states to sue over the issue of gay marriage and if the courts are right leaning enough, it evaporates. And worst of all for the Democrats, most second and third generation immigrants are right leaning socially as are African American voters.

And from the few personal discussions I've had with some friends of mine who are black (who aren't political), they're starting to get sick and tired of getting their heads bitten off when they want to talk about how they disapprove of gay marriage. The DNC only currently retains the black bloc vote out of sheer inertia if they don't do something to address this issue.
I think the gay marriage debate is long over, and I haven't seen anyone in the GOP who seems eager to rehash that fight.

The fact is that gay marriage is supported by the majority of the country and going after it again would only hurt the GOP. Such an action could easily undue all the coalition building Trump has done.

I think at most the GOP is just against say, forcing churches to marry gay couples

Want to get married? Go to Las Vegas or sign documents for it or use some other religion or a made up one for it

Otherwise, live & let live, don’t obsess over being gay

So...Final irony moment that might get lost in all the global pandemic stuff, but Bloomberg is dumping $18,000,000 into the DNCs 2020 efforts and, well, it's one of those fun, skeezy loopholes of funding that rightly should be condemned as gaming bullshit.
Bloomberg entirely self-funded his campaign, spending well over $500 million to keep the operation growing. The legal limit for Bloomberg -- as a person -- to donate the DNC would be in the hundreds of thousands, but because the money is coming from his campaign account, he is legally allowed to transfer millions to the DNC.

The man is going to fucking own the establishment democrats for at least 4 years

Not unless Hilary does something to eliminate his power base. Dude is universally hated right now from both sides of the isle. That being said, the Democrats are flat broke. So 18 Million is certainly going to help them.

Hopefully it will be wasted just like the rest of his money.

You know, I think it’d be ironic if Labor Unions side with Republicans on the basis that they know they’re gonna be replaced en masse by a different “working class”

That's actually happening but for different reasons.

Remember how I bitched about how the democrats pretend the 1960s never ended? A part of that is that while they gladly take labor unions money, and votes, and use their organizations they have been ignoring them and their intrests since the 1970s. That's now 50 years of working hard to be ignored.

And that's before you get into the fact that unions and extreme environmentalists have directly opposing intrests.

A lot of Unions nowadays are based on "public service" employees (ie government employees) so the Democratic party will always have a lock on them simply because at its very core one of the basic left right divides is big versus small government.

And big government means bigger paychecks, pensions, benefits and ridiculous amounts of insulation and job protection regardless of how half assed you may or may not be at your government sector job.
