It's downright bizarre to realize how reverse-world AI has become. For decades we've been told that the last thing to go would be the creative stuff and robots' strong suit would be their vast knowledge base and precision. In the space of a couple of years that's been completely upended, and AI is starting to take over the creative world while being unable to answer questions as accurately as a human.
What we're increasingly discovering is that while AI is only capable of simple tasks, it turns out most complex tasks are actually just a series of simple tasks that can be broken down into bites the AI can handle. Stuff that was considered to be impossible for an AI is increasingly becoming relatively commonplace for them as they continue to break the tasks down into simpler chunks.
