Having a look at the Ritz on Wikipedia, yep it was having difficulties at this time. Bomb threats from the IRA made very wealthy people nervous about public gatherings, and a high-class venue like the Ritz would be a prime target.

One of the things they eventually did to increase their income, re-start their "Sunday Tea Dances" maybe we should introduce the idea of good quality Asian teas, particularly Japanese teas (I wonder if tea ceremonies would go down well), and possibly suitable Asian alcohols

It would probably work well if, like what Shirou did with the food, He tried something like british/Japanese tea traditions fusion.
