Well I feel the same even if I'm a year older now!

I often find it jarring for me but the Democratic Party in the US while considered Liberal and Progressive in the States. But here in Canada they would be considered Conservative to say the least. And it's the same the the Republicans they would be considered Ultra-conservative to say the least of them.

I'm not on this site often but I do enjoy it when I am!
