Yeah and I'm not going to stop them.

People have their personal feelings, as for Carter man was a terrible preident and should have stuck to charity work.
America & the world would've been better off if Ford won reelection in 1976.

Big question is whether Reagan still wins in 1980 ?

The 8 years of Reagan was worth the 4 years of Carter, his efforts while painful really did help put down the soviet union once and for all.
Basically even if Ford somehow pulled off a reelection victory in 1976, Reagan was going to win regardless in 1980 correct ?

So apparently McCarthy was putting his weight behind making sure nobody was gonna collect enough votes to become speaker. it makes sense in hind sight. if he spiked every other guy who tries to take over it eventually has to go back to him right? guy is fucking scummy.

what happened was after Emmer got shot down they wanted to take a non-binding poll to see if Mike had enough votes. it wasn't allowed by the rules so it needed to be a unanimous decision. Only McCarthy objected. They then took a recess and he used that time to finagle 40 or so into saying no when the votes were done anonymously. for some strange reason though none were willing to follow though with it when they would have to put their names down and let their voters know who they were.

Seriously FUCK the RINOs.

Fox News spent the entire time condemning those who ousted him too. I don't know if he convinced them to do so or what, but it was another "masks off" situation as to their true nature of being pro-establishment controlled opposition.

I'm not confident Johnson's speakership will last till 2025 but if it does and Republicans gain in the House as well as the White House it's hard to imagine anyone will successfully challenge him.

They need to ABOLISH that dumbass motion to vacate BULLSHIT.
Actually, I disagree. I think it's completely appropriate that if a Speaker does not have the support of a majority of the members of the House then that Speaker can be ousted. However, it's possible that the rule will indeed be changed as you desire.

I think we need a rule to oust speakers who go back on their word, was this a bit long yes, but the last time this happened was a century ago and the last speaker was warned and made promises in exchange for his position. Keeping the speaker honest is a lot more important than momentary unity.
