America first republicans don't believe in the drug war, nor the surveillance state, Boeing is a fucking company, define indoctrination cause, uh, most republicans are entirely in favor of private and home schooling.

As for Taiwan and Ukraine? Taiwan we have a direct alliance with, a direct military and political alliance. You can't break from that and act like you believe contracts have meaning. Ukraine? We shouldn't sell them outdated and soon to be decommissioned weapons? Since when? Why shouldn't we recoup losses on that?

Going to be honest, I expected her to lose hard. Boebert I mean.
We have no alliances with Taiwan.
We have the word of our president basically.

Yes they do though:

(Not the first or only time he's done this).

And Trump never did shit about the Surveillance state either. He actually tried to get it stronger:

Boeing is a fucking company
Look up how we fund the MIL through cost plus contracts, which encourage wasting money cause it earns the company more. Boeing does this on steroids.

As for schooling? Most of the republicans don't do stuff on it, though I do support them when they do. But more important, they won't get rid of student loans.

We don't have an alliance with Taiwan. We don't even recognize it as a country. We don't even promise it safety. We actually have a policy of Strategic Ambiguity about whether or not we will defend them.

We aren't selling stuff to Ukraine, we are sending them billions of dollars of gear and cash. I got no problem with weapon sales to non-horrific countries. I do have a problem with the government giving them gifts of it's citizen's money.

So no, they don't believe in liberty.

Taiwan Relations Act says you're wrong.

Taiwan Relations Act says you're wrong.
The TRA says "The TRA does not guarantee the U.S. will intervene militarily if the PRC attacks or invades Taiwan nor does it relinquish it, as its primary purpose is to ensure the US's Taiwan policy will not be changed unilaterally by the president and ensure any decision to defend Taiwan will be made with the consent of Congress."

Congress had a Taiwan Policy Act that got introduced but seems to have gotten nowhere. THAT would have been am alliance.

Look, this is just...stop with the rhetorical boner stroking and fucking actually look at the details of what is going to Ukraine, and I don't mean the dollar figures.

Lot's of military hardware going to Ukraine is stuff that otherwise would likely have ended up scrapped without serving any useful purpose for the tax dollars put into them.

On a pure financial level that I would hope a libertarian can understand, we save money as a nation by giving this stuff to Ukraine to use, instead of keeping it in storage indefinitely and then sending it to scrap when it expires or ages out. The money and gear going to Ukraine is also saving everyone more headaches down the road by defanging the Bear in the global public perception, and killing Russians arms export business, which will leave them further isolated. The less gear and less modern gear, Russia has to use, the less it can use to coerce any of it's other neighbors, and not just the Baltics or NATO.

Look at how the Russians are having to beg Iran and North Korean for ammo because the corruption endemic in Russia has hollowed out the once vaunted Red Army.

Libertarians also need to understand that if they expect the GOP to basically let them take the drivers seat or they will let the Dems have power, the GOP base may just decide they would rather Libertarians burn with them. Compromise needs to work both ways, and Libertarians needs to realize they will not be able to unilaterally dictate candidates or platforms.

Yeah, I like Ron but I find it a little odd how differently the Media is treating him compared to Trump. They've been oddly neutral or even favorable toward Ron, Which most have never shown towards Trump.

Maybe I'm just crazy though.
It isn't odd at all, remember Martha's vineyard? The fact is that unlike Trump DeSantis doesnt open his mouth until its strictly needed which obviously means he is harder to smear.

Yeah, I reported that a bit upthread, but honestly I'm warming up to this. Dead people historically have caused no wars and committed no atrocities, really all the problems we've ever seen have been caused by living leaders.

Now dead voters, they're pretty problematic as historically they invariably vote for the most corrupt and least honest candidates possible.

I never said trump himself. I said american first republicans.
... He is leader of America First, so no, that ain't a valid objection.

Now yes, there are a few Republicans who are pro liberty, and some are America First, but America First is at best a better group

Yeah, I noticed this. I'm kinda bummed we didn't spoil it. But then this just shows how awful Oz was as a candidate, so I don't see why you are bragging.

Uh huh.
USAI is an authority under which the United States procures capabilities from industry
The Defense Department’s Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative is also set to get a $6 billion boost to provide equipment, supplies and logistical support to the Ukrainian military after Biden quickly exhausted the $300 million Congress provided for the fund in March.

The legislation gives Ukraine and NATO’s eastern flank countries access to $4 billion in Foreign Military Financing — grants that help countries purchase equipment from U.S. defense manufacturers.

On top of that, even the Presidential Drawdown Authority stuff isn't being sold to them. We are giving it to them, when those weapons were paid for with stolen money.

Libertarians also need to understand that if they expect the GOP to basically let them take the drivers seat or they will let the Dems have power, the GOP base may just decide they would rather Libertarians burn with them. I don't need everything. I need something of value. And people keep on saying that "Oh, but you agree with the republicans" and I keep having to point out that the policies you want your candidates to have are not the ones they actually have. Oz is pro gun control & pro transitioning kids.

I'm quite willing to compromise with someone who actually believes in my values. But so, so few of the options do. I'm not even asking them to End the Fed, but at least axe a TLA if you are president.

I think in this election the American people said meh. No body really won and no body got blown out. The left has essentially been given a second chance with some over sight.

If they can't unfuck things in two years then their fucked

do you know how long people have been saying that? since AT LEAST Obama.

Another thing people need to understand is that the average American really fucking hates Eastern Europe if he knows anything about it at all.

So any Republican simping for that drug addict globalist puppet or big talking the other drug addict globalist puppet was going to get sneered at.

Working class people look at that flag and go "anyone with a Ukraine flag outside their house is an idiot and a traitor. Fuck giving money to other countries I was middle class under Trump and I'm back to being poor again."

Can't win when you care more about drama between two cleptocratic shitholes peopled by barbarians who shit in igloos than you do your own citizens.
