Holy crap... a Belarussian Track and Field athlete, Krystsina Tsimanouskaya, apparently wanted to claim asylum after criticizing her Olympic National Team coaches for mismanagement and that in turn sprung up a 'national smear campaign' against her in her home country. Her coaching staff is allegedly 'forcing' her to go to the airport for a flight back to Belarus. But she's currently speaking with Japanese police at said Airport about her options.

Looks like she was granted a humanitarian visa in Poland and arrived there from Tokyo to Vienna to Warsaw. Took a weird flight path though.

Quan Hongchan, a fourteen year old Diver, completely dominated the Woman's Platform Final. This was her Olympic debut obviously and her second, fourth and fifth dives were considered PERFECT, as in scoring all tens from the Judges. The second place diver, Chen Yuxi, a fifteen year old diver also from the PRC, was more then forty points behind her.

And she looks basically like a child. I was having flashbacks to the Chinese Gymnastics teams of old where the kids they had performing their routines were totally teenagers or whatever. But regardless, she did a near perfect set and apparently one of the big motivations for her was she has a sick Mother to take care of and diving in the Olympics is a guaranteed way for her to make that money for her care.

This is her second gold medal at Tokyo for she also earned a medal in the 10 meter platform synchro. She's also only the second youngest diver to win Gold in this event. Back in the 1992 games at Barcelona, Fu Mingxia, a thirteen year old Chinese Diver, also won gold in this same event.

Oh and she just blew the old Olympic Record out of the water as well, in case you were curious. Quan finished with combined score of 466.20 points to break the previous Olympic Record of 447.70.

Today are semifinals, not finals.
Yes, Women's Volleyball finals will be Brazil x US. Brazil has also guaranteed 3 other medals by being classified to final matches: Men's Football, one on Men's boxing and other on Women's boxing.

With this, Brazil has surpassed the number of medals earned in a single Olympic Game - right now Brazil has 16 medals(plus the 4 above, whether gold or silver). Previous record was 19 medals in the Rio Olympics. Whether Brazil will beat the other 2 records established on Rio(number of gold medals: 7 - Brazil right now has 4 gold medals; medal table position: 13th - right now, we're 16th place) is to be determined.

The Mike Tyson of wrestling!

Somehow the referee didnt do anything despite the Kazakhstani wrestler chomping on the Indian wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya for around fifteen seconds. Ravi persevered and won the match despite the illegal munching and guaranteeing India a medal in this weight category apparently.

With Janja Garnbret winning women's climbing, Slovenia now stands at three gold, silver and bronze, with chance for bronze in basketball tomorrow [grumbles about referees in semifinals].

Series of bad decisions in favor of France, it happens often to our teams in more ''referee influenced'' sports, as we are one of the smaller nations.

Congratulations to Team USA Men's Basketball Team on winning their 4th consecutive Gold Medal defeating France 87-82 last night.

Now the United States has 101 medals overall in the medal count of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Brazil has just won(2-1) the Men's Football match, earning the 7th gold medal in this edition of the Olympics(two other medals were won today on Men's C1 1000m Canoeing - Isaquias Barbosa, and Men's Middleweight Boxing - Herbert Conceição), and tying with Rio 2016 for largest number of gold medals earned. Brazil may still win two other gold medals tomorrow - Women's Volleyball and Women's Lightweight Boxing(Beatriz Ferreira); while there will be a Brazilian competing in the Men's Marathon, chances of a medal are rather slim.

It's a good thing the USA won the Gold Medal Match in Mens Basketball. Combined with Womens Soccer missing out on Gold, I had it on good authority that if the USA lost this match, America would've withdrawn from NATO.

We still have Women's Volleyball, Baseball, and Women's Basketball to go

USA Wrestling has been turning in its best performance since 1984 when we had guys like the Schultz brothers and Jeff Blatnick owning fools on the international stage. Got NINE GOLD, three Silver and one Bronze those games. Not doing close to that level this time around but it's still the best performance USA Wrestling has turned in since those games.

I mentioned two of the Gold Medalists earlier, David Taylor who did a comeback from behind and Tamyra Mensah. But there was a Gold Medal in 125 kg Freestyle as well with Gable Stevenson and Kyle Snyder got Silver in 97kg weight class. Also Rio Gold Medalist Helen Maroulis got Bronze in the Womens 57kg and Sarah Hildebrandt utterly dominated her opponent in the last thirty seconds, getting a pin and three turns on her opponent and winning 12-1 and that point was for passivity. It's rough with Sarah because she lost her semifinal match in the very last seconds of that match but still, she managed to get Bronze.

The real surprise in that sport though is Japan who decided to kill everyone by getting five gold medals in Freestyle Wrestling.
