    Who else dreads this year?

Because of the 'soft' science known as psychology. Despite all we know about psychology, we're still picking apart the most complex computer system in the known universe... with just as a nearly complex system of support systems to keep this incredibly complex computer running (which also...

    Who else dreads this year?

That isn't the case. The GOP has moved into what is considered Reactionary Right by essentially all reasonable metrics. Some can say outright fascist and they'll be right as well as they've been going through the 'fascist handbook' while skipping the honeypot sections. Because our technology...

    Who else dreads this year?

Not exactly. The problem is that the economically poorer regions -particularly on the west coast- have been causing problems for the economically rich regions thanks to literally busing their homeless people to them. Seatle has a major homeless problem because towns and cities that aren't...

    Who else dreads this year?

That... is basically going overboard and going overboard tends to get the people doing so screwed and/or killed. It was a key cultural icon in several cultures across the world including native american ones oddly enough.

    Who else dreads this year?

Signs have always been argued, taken advantage of, and otherwise used by various groups over the centuries, for better or for worse. The Swastika was used to be a sign of fertility and health for several cultures across the globe, but the Nazis transformed it into a symbol of hate whose...

    Who else dreads this year?

Especially when worked into simply tipping the scales to an end that would see as much chaos as possible? Yeah, it's powerful. Yeah, nation-states and civilizations always have put their wellbeing ahead of everything else. Depending on various contexts (mostly social, technological, and...

    Who else dreads this year?

That... isn't entirely accurate. The strike package that went into Britain in 2016's Brexit referendum and the US's 2016 elections via Russia's wide-spectrum attack in cyber and real space already shows that memetic weapons are going to be a thing. Add with human psychology and you'll see...

    Who else dreads this year?

That isn't going to be a thing. You'll be ignored because, unsurprisingly, people love civilization because it is the only reason they have food, clothing, entertainment, etc. and anything to jeopardize that would be problematic at best. Given memetics (and not simply 'weaponized propaganda'...

    Who else dreads this year?

Because the entertainment companies are effectively owned by libertarians and individualists for quite some time now, trying to push that for years.

    Who else dreads this year?

The only reason that the corporations are taking the Left's side is that they know that if they ride the Trump tiger, they'll get mauled. Period. They're already walking on a tightrope right now with their automation revolution BS, they don't want everyone to go out for their blood.

    Who else dreads this year?

That would require a literal link to my brain because most of my notes are completely etched out in my mind, although I have started a setting on World Anvil for it. I don't have the best vocab and my command of the English language can be considered... subpar... to quite a few people. ... my...

    Who else dreads this year?

If reality keeps taking my A New World setting notes, it isn't next year that I'm dreading (although I'm dreading it), it's going to be the years after. As in 'the 21st century is going to be one of the bloodiest centuries in human history' bad... without the nuclear button being used... and...

    Who else dreads this year?

That is how rape cases generally boil down to, it is a 'he said/she said' situation. Getting evidence for rape is horrifically rare and at best flawed. That's the sad truth to the matter. I wish it wasn't but it is. Without laws that specifically state otherwise, the problem will exist. That is...

However, it becomes a pure 'he says, she says' style argument if you don't have an electronic panopticon operational.

    Who else dreads this year?

Nope, the thing with the DNC is that, so far, the moderates have been winning while the Progressives have been basically hammered to shit. Every poll so far has Biden winning quite well in the national, with everyone else barely breaking even or worse. All the -A/A level pollsters have Biden...

    Who else dreads this year?

No, they're practically giggling in destroying the US via the GOP. The Dems aren't Anti-Nationalist and Anti-American, if anything they're the traditional value of conservative, i.e. if it works, it works, if it doesn't then fix it. It is just that the GOP has moved 'right' so far into...

    Who else dreads this year?

However, you have to take into account the context of that. The US is less a unitary government and more like the EU/Holy Roman Empire that happened to be federalized. A lot of the crazy can be stemmed from the fact that the US isn't one monolithic entity.
