Yeah, its a very bad misrepresentation designed to make it look like leftist institutions are working against people labelled unjustly. The true story is that medical staff can refuse to treat people if they are being aggressive and abusive, and that includes racist etc abuse to their faces.
This doesn't apply to emergency treatment, people who have mental issues like dementia who can't control what they say, and it isn't permanent just until they calm the hell down. There is a situation where medical staff are getting abusive behavior and outright attacks thrown at them, this is designed to protect them so they can keep doing their jobs.
Not sure if this sort of process exists elsewhere, that you can refuse non essential services to arsehole customers, but in my old job we could tell people to get lost if they started being dicks. This is what this is about, protecting staff from aggression not punishing opinions.
