The rioters have a certain degree of accountability for neither leaving nor making any attempt to stop behavior that goes too far. I get that it's hard to stop a riot, even as a member. But if you were in that crowd and couldn't do something to stop them trying to burn the building down, that should have been the sign that it was time to shut the thing down and go home yourself. Not just the ones at the specific building either, the fact that the riot has gotten this bad should be a sign for everyone that it's time to cool off before people start getting killed.
At this point, everyone still involved should be held equally accountable for any crimes and atrocities that occur.

You have to understand..they are well aware of the double standard, but they dont care. They are telling you "we are so powerful, we dont have to live up to the standards we force on you, and there is nothing you can do about it."
Its all about power and humiliation. These people see politics strictly in those terms. To them, Power is not a complex web of obligations, its a simple binary..who is the boot, and who is the ass. And they want to be the boot. They believe power must be used to humiliate, and they have no obligations to those who are in their outgroups. To summarise "to keep you is no profit, to destroy you is no loss."
