Boomstick's and shooty shooty bang bang's - The GUN Thread!

I am not a glock fan
In which case, we have something in common. Then again I’m not a fan of plastic guns in general.
My favorite:

I prefer FN, Sig and Springfield Armory over Glock....but I can't knock Glock either. I will happily shoot Glock (the FIREARM, that is) if the first three aforementioned are not available for whatever reason. I own a Glock 17 Gen 5....more for rounding out my personal collection. Plus, Glock pistols in the US are like Ak rifle's in some countries, they are found nearly everywhere in all shapes and calibers, and it's easy to get aftermarket options and accessories, spare parts etc.

It may be an oldie but still a goodie, there is just something damn charming about a blunderbuss. Dunno about these three maroons, but charming regardless.

Well, guess I can shamelessly plug the Bulgarian Arcus 9mm pistol, then
Looks like some CZs. When I get back in thr US will look into it

I also prefer SIG but it gets me criticized in the army by a bunch of glock fans

It’s also very bulky and heavy, not particularly desirable characteristics for a handgun.
From my little understanding, it is POSSIBLE AND PROBABLE but would be VERY difficult to make a .50 cal weapon that isn't bulky and heavy, but then you would have other things to worry about. Correct me if I am wrong.

With large calibers, heavier weapons are better because they are less affected by recoil and thus place less strain on the shooter.
