Meme Thread for Both Posting and Discussing Memes

Have you ever heard of the MIG 25 and the cause of the F15?
The US takes what the enemy says they have.
Even if we think it is worse we take it at what they say.
Better to be prepared for the worse over the best
There were some meme videos about it.
Like how russia's best missile is only 1/4th the speed they claimed it was.
And USA counter systems were designed for russia's propaganda specs not real specs. So vastly outpace them

A worry about nukes are MIRV's. They're pretty dirt cheap to make, are about impossible to stop, and generally everyone agreed they were a bad idea.
Sure they're illegal, but if a nation has MIRV's. What are you going to do about it?

Shoot the shit down before separation, or just target all the MIRVs.

Shooting it down before it breaks apart is pretty tricky because it's like...In space. And targeting all of the warheaads makes your job anywhere from 2-10 times harder per missile. They were obviously banned because they prevent any sort of defence, which makes MAD all the more appealing.

I never argued that it was easy, I was just answering your questions of 'how'.

Wrong on all 3 counts. They are not cheap, they are harder to intercept than one warhead ICBMs but need more interceptors at worst, and they are absolutely not illegal, most if not all nuclear powers use them.
Even the French.
WarheadM51.1 = 6 to 10 TN 75 MIRV 110 kiloton (kt) (420 TJ), with penetration aids.

If only America was cooperating with a certain ally on anti-missiles that have already shot down a ballistic missile that was technically in space in combat conditions...

Maybe not 100% illegal, but very much frowned upon.
And they aren't 'that' expensive, I'm pretty certain that if 1970's people can figure it out, China can.

Read carefully.
Everyone with nukes has them either for sure or probably. Russia, USA, China, UK, France, Israel (probably) North Korea (working on them, possibly), Pakistan (working on them, possibly)...
China can develop them indeed, in fact they have them since several decades, in fact they have already retired their oldest MIRV capable missiles.

They still scare me a lot more than regular ol nukes though. ;V

Apparently I did not.
I recommend looking at it.
Basically the MIG 25 was supposed to be this super fast meauverable interceptor, but turned out to be horrible at the turning aspect but that was found out after a Soviet defector flew it into NATO hands.
It led to the production if the F15.

We plan for the worst. What the enemies say they have ans can do.

Not impossible and not illegal.
Testing nukes is illegal as it making new ICBMs.

They are one of a few nuke options.
The other being free fall bombs

as it making new ICBMs.
*cough* So, yeah, making new ICBMs might be "illegal" but you know what isn't illegal to develop and manufacture?

Rockets for carrying things into low Earth orbit.

You know the difference between an ICBM and a rocket for carrying things into low Earth orbit?

There isn't one... the only difference is the payload.

You know what Russia recently pulled out of and that the US has by them doing the same.
ICBM building...

I mean, illegal as in the sense you started another arms race.
But you are correct
I don't think "illegal" is the right word to use in anything international.
The START thing was always just a bilateral agreement that either side could withdraw from whenever they wanted to.
