The world has gone so batshit in the last ten years that it's hard to tell what's parody or real-life now.

Half the shit these days would've had you labeled as (or consider yourself as) a conspiracy theorist on the level of "JET FUEL DOESN'T MELT STEEL BEAMS!!1!" a few years ago, but now we're like "yeah, I'm not surprised" instead.

The last poltical realinment stateside was during the great depression and that was a shit show too.

And if you go into the really big civilizational cycles late modernity for both the Romans, and chinese was a total shit show. Honestly I expect things to get even crazier as the debached establishment gets ever more cultish divorced from reality and desperate to hold onto power at all costs.

While being confronted by an ever madder angeier populist movement that will grow ever more vengeful with time.

I don't think that "us all" was literally meant to include all of civilization.

That said, in Christian theology God's help can come in the form of enabling people to realize that what they are doing is wrong, and to repent of their wrongdoing and seek His forgiveness.

Generally, the people most in need of this are the least likely to pray for it themselves.
