Five minutes of hate news

The parents, disgustingly enough, are on board with the agenda, but they're horrified that they were basically kept out of the loop, and that their kid didn't express any "gender dysphoria" (aka she was a normal kid until this groomer began to refer to her as "Leo") so it didn't apply to her.
Have to wonder if this was a legit case of "if it had been real we would have supported her" or if it was more a case of "not my daughter" and they just didn't want to say that. Though, with how having a trans kid is currently seen as a status symbol, much like a rare purse-pup or other exotic pet, that may not be the case.

It could just as easily be that they were simply afraid of what the mob might do to them, if they didn't couch their objections in that way.

From what I understand, it's a paradoxical combination of "not my daughter" and "we support this".

"Oh, I'm fine with this and that... so long as it doesn't affect me and mine."

That's precisely how I always understood "not my X". "I support this, but over there" this is what the film "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" is commenting on.

Man half the Destiny fanbase is dick riding the ever loving fuck out of this guy and parroting his outrage and complaints.

It's low key annoying the hell out of me seeing people cry and whine everywhere involving Destiny content.

This dumbass convinced his fanbase that a minor DLC was going to be a Major story DLC and everyone's now upset because it was a simple plot

Ignoring the fact that it was never meant to be a major story DLC. I swear half the Destiny fan base are full of idiotic simpletons.

This whole system/ideology is going to cause so many suicides. People derive purpose from work (or to be more sex inclusive, from responsibility). Even in cases where they don't give a shit about the actual labor they do, they are at least distracted from how shitty their lives are by the activity of their work.

Giving people a lot of free time (a-la UBI and other UB systems per the Great Reset) will create a scenario where people are stuck in their own heads, realizing how much they hate themselves and everything around them. Then they will eat a bullet, or some other applicable deadly item.

At present this seems inevitable to me. Like, the greatest evolutionary pressure of the century will be your ability to resist depression.

I personally think said system ends with populist tyrant taking over and just slaughtering the former establishment as the people cheer it on dispite knowing how much its going to shit the bed for them, and when that nightmare ends people will retreat back into tradition and hold anything sufficiently new with distain.

There will probably be a suicide button in your pod. Big and red and shiny.

Why do I get the feeling wood-burning and non-mains stoves are going to be popular? Might be a good investment opportunity there, along with cat food factories.
Yeah honestly, probably not. I once used wood-burning stoves to cook for years and they take a lot of planning and preparation, you can't just turn them on and off like a gas or electric stove. Like, you can't light a wood stove and start cooking, it has to burn for quite a while and then die back down to cooking temperature, so you've got to plan your meals several hours in advance, and there's no "Heat to boiling, then turn down to medium" so a lot of complex recipes just won't work. Then the entire stove is also one temperature, so if cooking multiple dishes, all those dishes also need to work at the same temperature, no cooking up a high temperature boiled vegetable dish and a low-temperature milk-based dish at the same time.

This is ignoring how the stove is going to radiate a ton of heat into the house, so you have to plan around that depending on the local temperature and how much heating you need.

I just don't see most modern people being able to handle the high skills and learning curve a wood-burning stove requires to cook.

Sure, I just don't think they will when they have a choice, because the Powers That Be aren't taking away all non-wood stoves, they just want to take your gas stove.

Honestly I think the west in general has let the size of its governments get way too large and intrusive and there needs to be a dramatic cut back of buracrats in general. Because policies like these reflect psychotic control freaks looking for ever more grifting oportunities.

Their choice would be to use electric which is far easier and superior to wood fired stoves.

I love Me a gas stove, but if the choice is wood or electric. It's electric, without a doubt.
I am getting pretty annoyed with electric stoves. It has some really weird flaws you do not get with gas.
My brother switched to gas, and I am considering doing the same.

This has always been a problem with them. That they think they are needed and are so molded into tools that they can't imagine a world without officials and strict regulations and norms. Because in many cases it's the usual coterie and nepotism that forms, which forces the expansion of the bureaucracy to put everyone and you have to somehow justify their existence. It is no coincidence that the Catholic Church, had to introduce celibacy to somehow curb the same rampant phenomenon some degree in its own ranks. And the periods when this happened, we know from history as negative.

The other problem, in a way, lies in the ease with which the rules are set, the lack of accountability of officials to anyone and the collapse of morality forcing restrictions on the use of their prerogatives.

Gas is way, wayyyy better for fast temp changes, but I've gotten used to electric over the years. It's not terrible. I cook perfectly fine on one, but if I had a choice, I would choose gas.
