How would this effect social security?
Would it stick around longer or be easily abolished?
How would it adjust to the elderly no longer being physically elderly if it does at all?
Looking at it their would-be huge ramifications for this on a social and political level.
Social Security and jobs will be a big issue for many people as on one hand many people who were already young when this happened will feel cheated because they are now physically in the same health as the retirees and will be working their ass off and on the other retirees will feel any attempt to take away Social Security will be unfair considering they did their time and had their hours put in already.
Thats not to say that retirees are lazy and will attempt to mooch of the system, as most will probably try to find or make work themselves given in the older generation of boomers had an intense work ethic. (I know for a fact my grandfather will probably get back into work as not being able to is driving him nuts)
But Social Security simply wasn't designed to be able to feasibly sustain a whole generation of boomers for the period of time they now have to live, and the Government can't afford to not take them off SS either as the job market is already saturated.
and the current global fertility crisis is fixed.
At the cost of a future population explosion which will benefit quite a few people.
Youth is wasted on the young.
True and I am one of them.
The young's stupidity is driven by hormones to a great degree, and not knowing better.
A lot of yougified old people will probably go nuts though, precisely because they will have the "Nash, it was fine first time around and I know what I am doing." attitude.
It is but I don't think that means the adults will devolve completely in sense as for one they will be in the tail end of puberty and out of their teens along with having kept their collective life experiences to temper them.
The actual young people are going to be screwed hard by this. Alot of people only retire because they aged out. Now all those people are going to try to go back to work. Who are you going to hire? A 25 yrs old pilot with little experience or a 20 yrs old with 30 yrs of experience.y husband has 30+ yrs of experience being a police officer, he might go back (he can't because I'd be pissed in the way only a housewife can)if he could. No young kid fresh from college could compete with him or others like him. On the other hand it might solve the problems that alot of the trades are having. Also I'm now younger than most of our kids. I'm only 5 yrs older than our two youngest.
That probably will be awkward...But it will probably be for everyone involved you can imagine a young worker in a retirement home starting his shift and finding all the elderly gone and these random people there. (Come to think of it a lot of people will probably will be pissed about being there.)
Political tension definitely skyrockets.
Oh yeah! To start with 'that' older generation? Yeah, the one that the left constantly happily preaches is at death's door? They aren't going anywhere. The congressional makeup will be red for a while and even then, the democrats will probably shift away from socialism for a while.
To say nothing of the old politicians now swarming the scene or present ones who will be reinvigorated like for example as two opposing forces Ron Paul and Jimmy Carter who probably will dip back in.
To say nothing of Hillary and Trump who probably will be boogiemen by both sides of the aisle for their ability to run for the next fifty-five years at least.
