Oddly enough, despite being an obscenely powerful neurotoxin, Botulism actually doesn't directly affect consciousness despite being an infection of the producing bacteria that can kill you by paralyzing your lungs. It's "just" such a ludicrously powerful paralytic that it screws up your facial muscle function so hard you cannot get or keep stress-induced wrinkles at a dosage of nanograms.I'm of the opinion that Botox is harmful to one's mental facilities.
While I like this guy's message, making it about Christians 'ruling' this nation is a bad move, and one of the replies had a very important point in the image they posted:Mark triggers the commies so much.
For a pure Marxist, yes, atheism is required.I think the point is Soclaists and commies are athiest
Do you have any evidence that he's advocating going theocratic, or just rejecting secularists trying to push Christians out of the public square? The answer/cure to socialist bullshit never has been, and never will be, going theocratic; liberty is the cure to socialism, not religion.
Did you not listen to the clip?Do you have any evidence that he's advocating going theocratic, or just rejecting secularists trying to push Christians out of the public square?
Considering that Christian theocracy hasn't existed for over a thousand years and was hardly peak oppression when it did and communist countries do exist and are the most oppressive countries around I always find the cries of fear over some country 'being ruled by Christians' massively overstated.Did you not listen to the clip?
He was taking about Christians 'ruling' this nation at one point.
Smells like a desire for a theocracy, or at least badly worded hyperbole, and does not help things much.
And this isn't just about 'secularists' it's about the other faiths and religions that inhabit this country as well and may not be keen on Christians wanting to 'rule' them.
Religion in America is not just Christianity, and anytime people on the Right go about trying how America is a 'Christian' nation or needs to be 'ruled' by Christians sparks fears of theocrats hiding in the wings.
Or Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Shintoism, etc...Considering that Christian theocracy hasn't existed for over a thousand years and was hardly peak oppression when it did and communist countries do exist and are the most oppressive countries around I always find the cries of fear over some country 'being ruled by Christians' massively overstated.
Something needs to fill the slot of spiritual fulfillment on the level of the state, it doesn't have to be Christianity, but some of the other options are Islam and Communistic Atheism. There is no opting out.
I’m well aware there exist other religions, they just tend to be either not interested in converts, inexorably linked with a particular culture or under active attack. Shinto is entirely intermeshed with Japanese culture, to the point I don’t really think it’s possible to have one without the other. Sikhism and Hindu are themselves tied to the Indian subcontinent and it’s culture. That leaves Buddhism, which is honestly more regionally fragmented then Christianity. To say nothing of the damage the Chinese and Islam have done to it.Or Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Shintoism, etc...
Sometimes I think Christians forget non-Abrahamic faiths exist as cultural/social forces in nations around the world, and that there are alternatives to Christianity that are not atheism.
Or it could be a mesh of multiple religions and faiths, with none overshadowing the other or controlling the others, existing side-by-side in a secular world.I’m well aware there exist other religions, they just tend to be either not interested in converts, inexorably linked with a particular culture or under active attack. It’s some flavour and mixture of Christianity, Islam or Communist Atheism for the west.
Pull the other finger bro, i'm an agnostic myself. But if any religion wins ''king of the hill'' in the west only a fool would want any other than Christianity. The worst they do is try and ban dungeons and dragons or try and stop abortions. Secular people can coexist with them, not so with Islam or the new age ''religion'' known as wokeness.Or it could be a mesh of multiple religions and faiths, with none overshadowing the other or controlling the others, existing side-by-side in a secular world.

You think too small and too absolutist.Pull the other finger bro, i'm an agnostic myself. But if any religion wins ''king of the hill'' in the west only a fool would want any other than Christianity. Control freaks are really at the core of a lot of societies issues; live and let live doesn't grant them power and control over others, or the perks that come with that. That has been done before and been done successfully the thing is to make it work you need autonomy. You need have people be able to look at the next town over and not give a shit, you need people to not care how their neighbors live their personal lives as long as their not fucking up.
In order for that system to work you need to tell control freaks what ever their stripe to fuck off.
The West existed before Christ or Moses, its roots go back to Mesopotamia, Greece and Egypt, and if those religions faded from society, the West would still be here.I'll take Christianity, thanks. I've seen where trying to kill it and replacing it with Secular nothingness is going in the west and I want no part of that moral rot.
Joke religions are not an option. They have basically zero weight. You think too small and too absolutist.
There are other paths, other options, and not all of them involve either communism or religion taking control of society.
And there is also the possibility that certain...fictional sects may morph into and be recognized as legit IRL religions.
Case and point, Australia recognizing Jedi as an official religion.
Give us nerds a few years and we'll make new religions that have nothing to do with Wokism, bit without the baggage of established religions, and govs will recognize them once enough adherents decent to identify as such on religious questionnaires.
